PROVIDENCE +11.5 - Providence looks like a team to be reckoned with in the Big East this season, as they are off to a fine 12-3 start. They have a winning 3-2 record on the road, with one of the losses being by just 1 point at Rutgers. They have already posted impressive road victories at Virginia and at Seton Hall, and remember too that the Friars came into Storrs last season and knocked off the Huskies 76-70 as 9-point underdogs. Yes, Connecticut is the cream of the crop in the conference, and they were ranked #1 nationally on two occasions this year. However, they are just 1-2 ATS in Big East play, and they are coming off of a hard-fought 68-65 win over Pittsburgh. Providence may not duplicate their outright upset of last year, but I see no reason why they can not hang within single digits here.
