PtGuard Basketball questions???

I play my friend in one on one.............He shoots a jumper from one side on the key and overshoots the basket hitting nothing.......he proceeds to run and rebound the ball. Is this a legal play. Can he rebound his own miss without hitting anything or is this traveling or some other infraction.

Just getting your opinion on this as he thinks a legal play?

this is a great question b/c at diff levels it has different rules just like goal tending (in hs if it hits backboard and still going up you can sweep it off board--in NBA its tending; lotsa rules such as these that are diff) anyhow, to answer your question, if it's deemed a shot you can go get as long as it's hit the ground--if its a sucker pass that your pal is pulling off, call him on it; hate those scammers like Jack Price et. al hehe
