What is everyone's opinion on playing the puck line or the money line?.

Infinity doesn't post a ML. Which books do post ML and which do you guys recommend for hockey action?

well.....this question has been asked 100's of times.........but I can tell ya this........if you have a book that doesn't offer both options....go ELSEWHERE :nono:

these madjack sponsors post both:

Pinnacle
Olympic
v-wager
CRIS
5 dimes
WSEX

having a book that only offers the spread is an injustice.....absolute joke.....should offer both........I mean say you want to bet an underdog to win.....but can only find that game at +1.5........you can either bet the +1.5 at low odds or nothing at all....but if you have the moneyline option, you can go for the big payoff........see what I mean :)

kickserv,

thanks for the input. Are you saying that the moneyline should only be used for dogs that you think can win outright?

In my opinion the best strategy is to choose either moneylines or puck lines and stick with those throughout the season. Just less frustration and second guessing yourself that way in the end. If you look at the percentages over time or if you track your own results vs. what you would have done going the other way, you'll find in most cases that they are very close to the same anyway.

CRIS does offer both moneylines and pucklines but not on games with small prices. They do not post prices that are +1/2 minus money or -1/2 plus money. I am not sure if there are other books like that as well.

no not 100% of the time.........there is nothing wrong with putting some cash on a ML fav.........remember if ya pick a fav on the moneyline and game ties......it's a push......:) If ya have a fav at -0.5 and the game ties ya lose

the Moneyline shall we say......"covers your ass from those ties"

bottom line.....give yourself an option....if your at a book that doesn't even give ya that option, then there's nothing you can do right?!

Thanks Nick and kickserv.

kickserv - good point about a tie being a push with the ML. I lost 2 games this week because of the 1/2 goal.

I guess I'll look for another outlet for hockey.

Thanks again.

5dimes is by far the best book for hockey cause not only do they offer moneyline's but they offer period betting and reverse puckline's.
