Super night on THURS, as do most of the board. Congrats to all the PERFECT cappers here!
Myself, I didn't do too bad either!
7-1 on the nite +9.85 Units
4-0 on the double plays
Updated record:
49-31-5 Overall +26.00Units
2-1 on parlays +1.8 Units
14-3-1 on Double Plays
2-1 on Triple Plays
So far, I haven't decided on any plays. Got a few leans and here's my thoughts on the games so far:
Tampa Bay at WASHINGTON
LIGHTNING look to avenge their first loss of the year vs the CAPS and I don't see any reason to think they won't here. TBAY plays tonite and then is off next five days, which tells me we should get a huge effort out of them, nothing should be spared energy wise. The other little nugget I uncovered is the ROAD team is actually 7-2 in last nine in this series, so that bodes well for a slight road fav spot here on TAMPA BAY. Will probably be on the LIGHTNING! Some very strong numbers favoring the Under in this one too, but CAPS are so unpredictable... All of TBAY's road games have stayed Under this year, 0-3-1 O/U.
Boston at COLUMBUS
BRUINS have been road warriors this year, going 6-2-1 ATS on the road so far. Something of interest... BlueJackets are 4-0 as a FAV this year, 1-9-1 as a DOG. COLUMBUS playing back to back, getting smoked by OTTAWA last nite after jumping out to a 2-0 lead. Another interesting stat: BOST is 1-8-1 last ten games on the road on FRI NITE!
and the OVER is 7-2-1 in those games, BOS averaging 2.3 gpg while giving up 4.4 in those contests. Initially I was looking to play BOST... may be just the OVER now.
Pittsburgh at BUFFALO
Looking at playing OVER here, although both Offenses are very weak. PITT has gone OVER the number at a rate of 6-1-1 so far on the road this year, and the one loss was vs a WEST team, making the record vs EAST, 6-0-1. Their Def on the Road is horrendous, surrendering 4.9 gpg. BUFF meanwhile is not much better. Their O/U record at home is 4-3-0 but they are also giving up goals at a very high 3.6 gpg at home. Neither team is playing well, so I doubt we see a defensive struggle tonite. I'm looking at playing this one OVER the 5 goals, can't see either team stopping the other all nite.
Detroit at CHICAGO
I may play this one UNDER tonite, depending on who's in goal for both teams. HASEK has played the last two, doubt if he's in goal tonite with the WINGS playing at MINN tomorrow. The bigger question is THIBIBAULT. IF he's not available, will probably look to play the RED WINGS. CHI is giving up 5.8 PP chances a game, and DET leads the league in converting them at 27.5%. CHI struggles on offense so a 3-1 DET win wouldn't surprise me here. Still working on this one...
Phoenix at DALLAS
COYOTES visit the STARS after the huge comeback win at home vs the AVES. I haven't spent much time on this one yet, but my initial lean was to the OVER. DAL is too high priced for the way they are playing, and I doubt I want to back a team playing B/B after a huge home win... :nono: working on this one still as well.
Be back later with final plays!
Good luck tonite gang!
