Isn't it nice the way the NCAA and the networks shove Puke down our throats? Only game in the early time slot. 2,3 and 2 in the other spots. Wouldn't it had made more sense to have 2 in each slot? Just tired of the way they promote these sob's.

well when youre as good as they are, it only makes sense to give them this time slot. the anti-duke people will watch and/or bet against them hoping the sons of bitches lose. and the pro-duke people get their team in an exclusive time slot. if youre the network, why WOULDNT you put duke as the only early game?

So your saying Puke is that much better than everybody else? I don't buy it. It's no damn wonder they get the best recruits every year the way they are taken care of. Thye don't do this for anybody in NCAA football. It is a bunch of bull chit.

gman,

I agree with that reasoning during the regular season, but not during the NCAA tourney. Basketball fans want to see all of the games.....I know I like to have two different games on at the same time so I can flip back and fourth during timesout and lulls in the action. I think fans would be just as or even moreso interested right now to be watching Manhattan (public cinderella) take on the big boy Wake.....or the general's Tech team against St. Joe.....just my opinion however.

very valid points. i can make no argument against that.

boiler:

is duke that much better? honestly, yeah. as for college football..... notre dame would be your duke equivalent. and theyre not even GOOD and theyre shoved down the nations throat. at least duke is good.

it all comes down to $$$

CBS know they need to schedule more games in late afternoon and early evening so all the people on the Pacific coast can watch the majority of the games....and the advertisers are getting what they paid for

I think it's to increase the homosexual fan base with the potential of gay dook fondling. C

Gman, so in a sense the networks are cheating for Duke by promoting them more than the other NCAA schools so that the top recruits will want to go and play for the little rat . I for one just get tired of this bullshit. I bought the tournament package so I could get all the games but now I'm stuck watching them until the other games start. Then when the 5 o'clock hour gets here I wil have to flip back and forth between the 3 games that are on in that time slot. I will be emailing cbs on this matter and also the fact that they brake away from the game you are watching to show you some other game when they could just wait and show you the highlights later. I bought this package to watch the games I wanted in their entirety.

sorry for your problem with duke.last i checked they do not make schedule.i would think prime time would be tonight not early in the afternoon .at least the high point of the year for boilermaker fans was when purdue beat duke.if zona had won i do not think a 10 oclock start time on west coast would have been ideal.we duke fans-and i have been going to games there since 1963- are amazed at this national hate for duke that seems to be evident.i am glad that livingston and nelson chose duke for next year, if the nba doesn't get livingston.if you were livingston would you choose keady and purdue or would you choose the acc.ironically one of the main reasons the acc is successful is because of everitt case, vic bubas and bobby knight-all from your area.case at state and bubas at duke and knight teaching coach k-we southerners thank you.

duke is good, and yes they receive special treatment it appears.

however, i could not agree with the boiler more. iam glad i did not buy the cbs package looking at todays line up. 1 game at noon and 3 at a later spot is horse shit ! should have been in memphis last night - stuck watching crappy miss st game when they were killing monmouth ! they kept the entire game on. i have been dissapointed with cbs' job this year all together.

oh well, whatever we get it is better than nothing. the sweet 16 and should experience better coverage.

Too close to Wisconsin
You can have him.

Peoria was there for the taking on a day when McDonald's All-American Shaun Livingston shot 2-for-11, missed every jump shot and scored just seven points. The Lions made just 16 of 43 shots (37.2 percent) and were only 6-for-14 from the line.

"We were able to survive today," Livingston said. "I've got to thank my coach and teammates for allowing us seniors to play another game."

He ain't going to the NBA. Seen him play before, he is very good but hes not all that.

Don't think Boiler blamed Duke but CBS.

If you can't understand why people have issues with some of these Duke things, you're in denial.

Lowell, I am as biased as you so if it were up to me I would choose Keady and Purdue over Duke. I was tickled when Chris Humphries told Duke he was going to Minnesota instead. Not so much for my hatred of Duke but because I like to see other teams excell also. Hey don't feel to bad I will root for Duke if they play Indiana.;) Although I have never forgiven them for 2 years ago when they collapsed against IU. Good Luck to you.

knowing me, I will:

a) break the camera
b) forget it in my car when barhopping
c) leave it somewhere and forget till tomorrow where I left it
d) spill something on it and render it useless
e) all of the above

I'd go with answer e:shrug:
