I see some guys are considering a Bears play - and as much as I hate the Vikings out of the Metrodome, I was wondering what your take on the Grossman start is?

I don't know stats - but I think that QBs making their first NFL start have a poor winning percentage, and since this line is so low the Vikes might be a strong play:shrug: ?

Both of these teams are usually either a fade or no play for me, but I think Grossman's inexperience could be a factor (and it's not like he'll have a RB to be his crutch like Boller had in J Lewis).

I'm going to look for more concrete info on this and will post what I find.

GL this weekend.

Poor winning percentage, but decent percentage against the number. I always liked to load up on a team starting a new QB...the logic is the team will "rally around" the new guy, and come to play. Of course, some times this plan backfires, and you wonder what you were doing betting Rick Mirer, or the like....

dont have any particular stats either, wish I did, but this "bet on a new qb" was one of the first gambling "strategies" i learned.

alas, where has it got me?
