I have a question that I brought up to a sportsbook this weekend, but they didn't give me a good answer. (I am sure that they tried, but this is a tuffy!)
Here's the scene:
I was making three baseball wagers at Olympic. They were all single wagers on the same page. I placed them at various amounts to win $50 each. The bets ranged from $55 to $70 apiece.
After making the wagers, you are prompted to a page where the wagers are shown, and you have to type in your initials to "okay" the wager. Well, I am like most people, and hurry through this page. Later in the day, I wanted to increase my wager on one of the teams, so I logged back on. As I checked my "bet history", it showed my three teams wagered earlier as a parlay! Not only was it a parly, but it was at the total cost of the three wagers I made. (Close to $200) The first game in the parlay had just went off, so there was no way to cancel that wager.
I stewed and sweated, and of course the first game won. The second bets were on Florida and the over. Florida was down a run with two on in the bottom of the ninth, when they died. So.....I was out $190+, and pissed. I had emailed the company to ask how this error could happen, and the didn't know. I have tried to make the same mistake happen again, but have not been able to.
So, my question is.....has this happened to any of you? I know it is my fault for not rechecking accurately, but I'll be damned if I can re-create the situation!
Anyone with knowledge of how this happened, please fill me in.
Thanks,
yyz
