Question about Guns/Ammo from a non-gun owner....

Well, I'll ask two questions....
1. What are cars built for?
2. What are guns built for?
Let me know.
So a firearm in the hand of a law enforcement officer in your myopic world is for what?
i`m more worried about my beloved incandescent lightbulb(who i have a long history with) ......and not being allowed to shit in non-tax-paying toilets....

It's up to the "driver" of both of these to determine whether they will be used for their intended purpose.
to me a law abiding citizen should be allowed to own anything outside of a fully automatic weapon and armor piercing rounds. I doubt the founding fathers would be so squeamish about such things.

Is this what you'd really bring to a debate? Interesting that most killers choose guns over Ford Fusions when they decide to take someone out.
For the record, I am not opposed to gun ownership. I'm opposed to citizens owning weapons that could wipe out my block.
Alcohol kills more people 100-1. Shall we ban Alcohol. Gun ownership is a civil liberty protected by the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights. Thankfully the NRA has protected these rights.
Cars are built to get you to and from work. Alcoholic beverages are made for drinking. Guns are made to kill things.
Why is this so hard to admit? I understand that they are made to kill and I have never said that firearms should be banned. Certain firearms have NO business in the hands of my neighbors. Nobody needs an automatic assault rifle....the people that think they do are the exact people I don't want any where near guns.
If you go to purchase a gun, they should have a question on application that asks "What are guns made for?" If you answer "shooting", you should be denied. It's like saying cars are made for steering. Take responsibility and understand what the real purpose of the weapon is. Nobody says you have to use it for its intended purpose, but you sure as hell better understand what that purpose is.

"The Bill of Rights", amendments were ratified on December 15, 1791 It hasn't changed. Its been exactly the same for over two hundred years.
Not sure how its constantly evolving..
It may be a wish for a few that know better than The Founding Fathers of the United States
