How do these 20-30 player local books make it without being able to balance the books evenly. With 20-30 guys, one would think the action may be all one-sided. How does it work.

what's your point

I would assume he is asking would they not get buried if joe gets on a roll for a bit. If they had to much action they would lay off. From my experience locals limit what you can play and also how much. They have worse lines for the player and different rules on things as well. This is just my experience and I am sure not universal. With fewer players they look for more and quicker ways to screw you:shrug: JMO

What I mean is with MOST people betting favorites a guy would almost always have 70% on the fav and 30% on the dog. If the favs go a long run, that would send him under.

In the long run the juice always kicks in. Rarely is there a layoff for me; willing to take the good and the bad.... For instance, I have 2800 on Clev to win series and laid none of it off at +350. Now I could lay it off at +1100 if I want. Prob. wont though. :SIB The end of the CBB and beginning of NBA playoffs this year totally sucked for me.... But the NFL is always gravy., ALWAYS. 6 yrs and running. NFL!
Hey TheBoundBook,

If you had say 25 players at 200-300 a game avg, what type of reserves would you need to stay in business and not get crushed if the local Joe's go on a streak when you start out.

Anthony, if you don't have a bankroll to weather the storms don't get involved or you may go broke and have a lot of guys ready to kill you.:nono:

Just trying to have some fun, nothing personal to you.

If in fact you are serious about doing this, just be careful. It isnt like the movies, trust me.

And if you are interested, see a movie about this thing.

Its called "Bookies"

Its about some college kids that book action at a local college and get into a bit of a jam.

A must see, if you are serious about this.

Good Luck
