Yesterday, I had braves +182 ACTION. My wager was paid off at +141.

They adjusted the price because of pitching change. Before I question it, is this protocol in all books?
Thx in advance

Never heard of that

Shady on them if you ask me. You put your bet in as action, so the pitching change would be irrelevant.

ACTION bet means you are locked in to your bet regardless of pitchers but not price if there is a pitching change. You would then get your team at the new adjusted price.

Example: You took Team A at -140 odds. There is a pitching change and the new adjusted line is now -200. Your bet now becomes Team A at -200.

That's why I've never understood why anyone would bet action. If they threw up a new price (-200) and you don't like it you're stuck with it anyways.

I had ACTION at +185... they paid me at +170

I also think its shady, doubt all books do it (this play was not at 5dimes, not sure what they would have done)

it was still good win, cost me 9 bucks so I am not bothering the time it takes to deal with em and get turned down anyway

We learn something new every day. Interesting.

If I'm taking a side, I usually select "Pitcher X Must Pitch" because I likely made that play because of that pitcher.

always list your pitchers, always.
the book is correct zoomer.

____________

Side (moneyline) wagers will be accepted in the following manner:
Action (any starting pitcher) - Team against team, regardless of the starting pitcher.
Listed Pitchers (both specified pitchers) - If the starting pitchers are not exactly as listed when the "Listed" wager is placed, your wager will be deemed "No Action".
Bettors (your teams selected pitcher) - If the listed pitcher of your selected team does not start the game, your wager will be deemed "No Action".
Opposing (opposite teams selected pitcher)-If the listed pitcher of the opposing team does not start the game, your wager will be deemed "No Action".
In the event there is a pitching change prior to the start of the game, all action wagers moneyline odds may be adjusted. If one scheduled pitcher starts against an unscheduled pitcher, "Action" wagers will be computed by the opening price with the new pitcher.
