GM:

I want to thank you for posting some excellent betting angles. I believe there were about 40 or so angles that you tracked each and every week.

I wonder if it would be possible to list all the angles with a snyopsis of how they performed this season.

I would also be very interested to learn how all the angles performed cummulatively, based on one unit bet per applicable angle.

Again, I want to thank you for the work you did on this. Since I had a losing season, I sure want to go into next year with better ammunition and your material certainly looked like something that could be used to profit.

Happy New Year,

Nolan Dalla

Nolan,

Thanks for the kind words. You know, I posted these things most weeks, but there were many weeks where I barely paid any attention to them myself after getting the post up. I put them up mostly as an experiment to see if they'd work or not...and they did (in general). The damn things just kept on winning when I wasn't actually playing the picks they produced, until I finally came to the conclusion I'd better pay attention to my own material! LOL

I was a bit sloppy with the record-keeping along the way. Some weeks I listed the records of the angles one by one from the previous week; others I just posted the cumulative record when the week was over. And I didn't even post the plays for Weeks 1, 2 and 17. But I had it in mind as one of my projects in the not-too-distant future to go back over the season and track them all. I've got all the scores and all the lines in my database, but some of it is pretty laborious, so it may take a while to total it all up. There are definitely some angles I want to get rid of...some that I am pretty sure hit under 50%. But many that appeared to hit quite a high %.

I'm off for a mini 3-day vacation starting this morning. Back Friday night. Will try to get something done on it either on the weekend or early next week.

============================================

By the way...I don't know if anyone has noticed this or not... but this will be Denver's 3rd straight road game this weekend. True, they rested a lot of guys last week...but still...this is a pretty strong bet-against situation (against Den). And there are a LOT of people touting the Broncos this weekend. It's pretty hard to beat a team twice in their own backyard in a 3-week period.

I recall something like this happening with St Louis & New Orleans (Year 2000). Just went back and checked my records. StL won at NO 26-21 in Week 17, and then went back there the very next week for Game 1 of the playoffs. Ok, slightly different spot this go around, since there was a game in-between...but close. Anyways, the Saints rebounded with a 31-28 win as 6-point home dogs. Furious StL comeback that came up short and ended with Az Hakim fumbling. Final result surprised a hell of a lot of people. In any event, my point is...it's very hard to beat a team twice in a row on their own field I think.

I'm thinking Indy deserves a good look this week. People seem pretty down on them and not very impressed with their finish. There sure are a lot of people who think this 10-6 team that scraped their way into the playoffs on the strength of a tiebreaker can whip this 12-4 team in their own park, again. Short memories seem to forget games such as losing at home by 9 to the Bears, or needing OT to scrape by the awful Browns at home...both games in the last 6 weeks of the year. Hmmmm.....

Dallas and Seattle are also playing their 2nd-straight roadies, another bet-against situation. Pretty seriously considering taking the Titans, Indy, Green Bay & Carolina this week, even though it's a lot of chalk.

See ya.

just a bump, as might open eyes to how any given sun...--or sat if it applies. i believe the balt/tenn game is a toss up--but will, like so many other tenn backers, lean on mcnair and decent rec corp to unseat ravens. supposedly the way to beat the ravens was to pass--like frst couple weeks of the season--though i read somewhere, whence they made a move puttin a safety at the other side of mcallister at cb, it shored their pass defense. personally i dont recall any big passing days against in recent memory. i dont think GB loses--but maybe they find it hard goins against a talented, underacchieving? sea squad. all i can remember is green and davenport shredding the TB bucs--gashin 'em (not a TB hater, jus the game i saw) and even with hobbled wr's and their better half of secondary questionable--i dont see the inexperienced sea squad winning.
good points gm--and good luck
