I was wondering, if ND beats Cuse, they will be 6-6. Does this make them able to go to a bowl game or do you have to win at least 6 games and be better than .500 ?

Cause, if this does allow them to go to a bowl, I think that it will be a given that they will defeat Cuse because they can get fans to come. . .even non ND fans would go from that area because it is ND.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe independent schools with only 6 wins get the nod for a bowl bid....I may be wrong though

Couple of scenarios. ND might get a bowl bid from a bowl committee. Why? There are 2 possible conferences where they can not fulfill all their bowl spots. Big 12 is one of them and I think the SEC or ACC might be the other, I am not sure on the second conference. So since the Big 12 does not have enough bowl eligible teams a bowl committee can select who they want. Personally their are more deserving teams than ND that should get the nod to go to a bowl. Even if ND wins their last 4 games. I am a huge ND backer and sure it would be nice for the Seniors but other schools deserve it more. Just my 2 cents. Check my thread if you are looking for opinions on the ND/SU game. GL
