Going to be at Universal Studios in the next couple of days. My two boys want to pick up some t-shirts and sweatshirts from Ucla and Usc. Any places you can suggest anywhere near Universal? How far away are the two campuses (sp?)?

Universal has an outdoor shopping center. They have a UCLA and USC in the sporting goods stores there. Also, dodger and raider.

From universal the campuses are quite far ucla (20 mi) usc (10 mi)

don't go ANYWHERE near the usc campus if you can help it. the main drawback to usc is its location. campus is beautiful, walk one block away from it, and its well, how do you say a tough neighborhood.

sc is in a lovely area.....head down there, stop by popeye's chicken, stroll thru exposition park, visit the clip joint, see the coliseum, discuss politics with the crips, then hop on the 110 and head north to hollywood then down the westwood........

sorry gjn, now that tookie isn't around to take care of the area from his cell, its actually gotten worse. its a shame to see sorority girls go to rush with armed guards.
