just wondering what you guys across the country perception of Paul Pierce is?

He buried a nearly impossible 3 at buzzer overtime tonight for his 13th straight game with 30 or more points. I think the guy drives to the basket, plays hard every game, played whole game against Bryant last week and out played him. I believe he is very under rated in Boston, best I've seen here since Bird, and actually I think Pierce shoots the ball better. It

The guy is a flat out stud!! Hands down. Very underrated for being in Boston. I saw him this year against the Warriors and he had 30+ pts I believe in that one and had an absolute monster dunk that made the crowd totally go ahhhhhhhh!!! It was awsome!!! He's quiet and just does his job night in and night out for Boston....the thing is he has never had a supporting cast.

comparing him to kobe or bird :nono: but i do think he is underrated,he is a stud.mentally no where near some other superstars.would like to see him on a solid team someday and see what he does.they were good a few years ago but they never had a solid pg or center.

A Kansas Jayhawk! What do you think I think about him?

Honestly, I think some people think he is a thug for his stabbing incident (where he got stabbed, BTW) and also how he never seems to be having fun while playing.

Guys like Garnett, Kobe, Shaq, Wade all play the games with smiles on their face (at least Garnett used to), and Pierce plays it with a perpetual skowl.

It is interesting that in a very big media market a player can be that underrated, however...

I always thought he got shot?

I love the guy! I remember a play-off game 3-4 years ago, at home v. New Jersey when they were something like 17 points down at 3/4 time...He single handedly won the game.
It was amazing!

Of course Boston went on to lose that series....:D
