They just put up a bunch of video lottery machines up at the race track near my house and I've been lucky except on one machine. Does anyone know if some machines are programed to not pay back as much as others or are they all pretty much the same? I don't know if this one machine just isn't programed to win big or is it due? I guess the latter but it has done nothing but suck up my winnings on the other machines where I have been lucky.

Video lottery machines are not much different than reel slot machines. Each machine is programmed to pay out a certain percentage of what it takes in. Usually anywhere from 80 to 98 percent. The machine your talking about may be a high end payout machine.....meaning that it will forego small jackpots....rake in money....and then just make a few people real happy campers. Dont ever be fooled into thinking any machine is due.....or you'll most likely walk out of the place with nothing but lint in your pockets.

yeah, this place pays out .92 on the dollar. I know what you mean by thinking something is due. :nono:
