I bet kc and over Sunday night. The game was suspended. Can someone please tell me why the kc side bet was graded as a push and my over bet was graded as a loss? I also had them both in an action reverse and that was graded as a loss. Wtf ? Game is set to resume sept 22. Thx in advance.

Maybe give your book a call for clarification.

At Wagerweb
Betting Rules Baseball

http://www.wagerweb.ag/sportsbook/betting-rules-baseball

  • When wagering on Run Lines or Alternate Run Lines, the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action. If a game is called or suspended in extra innings, the score will be determined after the last full inning, unless the home team scores to tie or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called.
  • All baseball wagers must go the day written, otherwise there is no action and all money will be refunded.

You have to watch these books closely. 5Dimes has graded this game as a loss for me. I have emailed them to ask that it be changed to No Action based on their rules stating "If a game is called or suspended after 5 innings, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning of play ? unless the home team scores to tie or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in that case, the winner is then determined by the score at the time the game is called. The score after the last full inning of play was tied."

We shall see what they say.....

Ya, my over was graded as a loss at my book. Pretty shitty considering it still could have won if kc tied it. i think it's a stupid rule.

Should be called the robbery rule. books know for a fact that WAY more people bet the -1.5 runline and more people bet overs, so calling a game as action on those on a tie after 9 innings means they win money more than they lose. it's pretty lame.

Griffin, take it easy. I realize this is a normal rule for a lot of shops. I do not need my money refunded, a rule is a rule. I'm stating my opinion on the RULE, not anything to do with your shop. There is a difference.

Anyone have advice on what to say to my local later? I asked if its NA and guy didnt know the game is suspended on weather.

Just kind of weird. Obviously i figured the game was done and didnt expect weather to kick up in extras.

Feel like it should be no action.

Thx for all the input. I feel like all bets should be no action. I will argue for that and not paying. Only sensible solution. Or let the bets ride til sept 22 when they complete the game. Anything else would be cockamamie horseshit.

My over was graded as a 2-2 final score as that was the score of the last full inning played

I had a bet on the over and my local counted it as a loss. He is a good friend of mine and I know he wouldn't weasel me. I would have been unhappy if I had the under and it didn't count, so fair is fair. Once 9 innings have been played, the total should count, IMO. Could go either way. Hopefully, someday we'll get even in a similar situation!!!:toast:
