no way he is not that stupid, guys let me tell you unlv has the most f-uped admin starting at the top look what king carol did to billy b he was a scape goat for her and charlie c's f-ups, I never coached at a school so messed up in my life, was warned, When you go to the ncaa coaching conventions jokes are always being made about unlv, my guess coach from n.az strong ties here would be a risk, also fau coach is a former player in the great days, but it is a laughing stock of d1 in all sports. Coaches talk trust me a coaching pipeline is the most real info in the world when it comes to the real goings on and all coaches no unlv and the trouble caused by the top brass and ex ad, no-one will take this job that is top knotch, they will try to hand out cash but coaches don't want to come into a school who likes to backstab and which hunt, robionson is next 1 year tops.
If they stick to the M.O. of recent hires, it will be the oldest white coach they can find! John Robinson is a joke! Spoon, who I thought was an excellent hire, just couldnt get things turned around.
I wouldnt mind seeing Lavin in Vegas, cause he is an excellent recruiter and got the most out of his players at the end of the season. I actually think he is a better coach than Donovan @ Florida or Snyder @ Mizzou. Those two guys are still living off the fact that they played for Duke.

I thought Donovan transferred from Providence to play for Duke in his last yr or two. Excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong.

I agree in reality he has'nt done much with the talent he has had since 1990 tourney final. His team this year is an abosute embarrassment...........
I think that Lavin is waiting on Keady to retire. He has Purdue ties. Was an assitant to Keady and loves the area.
Someone at the game last night was holding up a sign for them to hire Louisville assistant and former UNLV star Reggie Theus. He does have some head coaching experience from that kids show that used to be on NBC!!!!! LOL
