ok tell me why

one or zero outs

fast man on first base

slow runner at the plate

ball is popped up to short center field

where the 2nd baseman or shorstop catches it

or the center fielder comes in and comfortably catches it

it is NOT the infield fly rule

i drop the ball on purpose

and throw the fast runner out at second

slow runner is on first now

i do this everytime

the ump is going to make a judgment call on whether you dropped it?

no way

i do it everytime

If SS and 2ndB chase the popup then are you trusting someone to be covering 2nd(pitcher or 3rdB) and can you execute it clean without mistake on both ends as opposed to a sure out??

im saying

im saying

a very easy popup to short center field

the runner can't even go halfway cause if it is caught he will get thrown out at first

they could execute this everytime

If you have ever played pro baseball, this happens all the time.

One of the most basic moves.
