Hopefully this can save some of you some time...

-Rogers and Delk will play their first game for Boston tonight in Houston. Nobody knows how bad the migranes are for Stevie Franchise. Rockets won up in Boston when Boston was going through a bad stretch, but they clearly had way too much on the perimeter with Norris, Francis and Mobley in that game. Rockets a slight home dog here.

-Van Exel and La Frentz will play their first game with Dallas tonight. Bulls played great in their first game with their new guys but Pacers struggled in theirs. Reggie was out for Indy, though. Sacramento has two ugly blowouts prior to the one last time out vs. SA. First time they laid another egg and lost at Minny. Second time they beat up on a struggling Boston team playing their third in four nights. This line has been anywhere from -2 to +2 for Sac today.

-Coleman returns from a two game suspension for the Sixers. They won both with him out but lost their previous three with him in. Dunno about Raja Bell today, but I would assume he is back from a family funeral. McKie I believe is still out. No big news on the Magic other than they are both scoring and surrendering tons of points lately. Another line anywhere from -2 to +2 for either side.

-Clippers are super dinged up. Magette is on the injured list. Brand missed the last game and I am not sure of his status tonight. Miles is nursing an injury and I belive Q is as well. Miller returns from a one game suspension tonight.

-Who knows how healthy MJ is tonight. He got basically no shots down the stretch in the loss to NJ.

-Golden State revamped their starting lineup last night, going with three small guys, Jamison and Dampier. Fortson did not play at all. They played a great game but who knows where they will get rebounds from. Team has played really well in a series of losing efforts recently. They seemed to have extra zip with Jackson's saga finally over but will they hit the wall tonight?

-Jackson could get PT for Minny against tough inside team like SA. Teams have split with each winning at home this year.

-Seemingly no hope for Denver tonight. Portland had the bad loss to them recently so revenge may be on their mind. Denver plays their first game with Howard as the focus of the offense. Everything points to a wipeout but Denver has pulled a couple of surprises in seemingly hopeless situations this season.

As evidenced by the count, I'm predominantly a lurker here. But just wanted to say that this is one of the best posts I've seen here simply because it's very informative and accurate! Great stuff!

Update on Brand/Fortson

Nick,

Giving you a quick update on the above guys:

Brand - played last game they played - very well, in fact, a strong double-double - I would expect him to play tonite

Fortson - he was not injured last night - sat out for a team rules violation - I would also expect him to return tonite.

Hope things are going well for you - hope to see ya in Milw some time...

Thanks, Mags. I am an idiot. Brand sat out the win over Miami with the finger injury, not the last game with Orlando. You are right about Fortson, too. Dunno if I made that clear that it was a coach's decision that he did not play last game.
