R.I.P. Hard Drive

The Hard Drive on my Laptop died, lost everything.
I had Microsoft Office, will they let me download a new copy? I still have the product key & the order #.

My virus protection was expiring anyway, so what do people recommend I get?

connect it back and you may be able to get some info off of it

If that doesn't work, try to microwave it (on a plate with a paper towel over it) for 25 seconds, install, and clear your cache.

I had a guy fix my puter when the hard drive crashed. He put the hard drive in a bowl of ice water so it stay cool enough to get all the info and pictures off of it. He saved everything. Worth a shot.

If none of these work then you can always just piss on it and throw it away as a consulation.

By get do you mean a new laptop or something to recover your data?

If you're talking laptop Toshiba & Lenovo are very good.
Do you do a lot of gaming? Is it your only computer or just one to surf on?

I prefer the AVG anti virus. just make sure you uncheck the toolbar
