Yes, Ive got one, and wouldnt have any other radar detector period. it has paid for itself many times over, and wouldnt have any other. Its well worth the $$$ and I LOVE the fact that it tells you which direction the radar is coming from, AND how many signals its picking up..........get it and I promise you you wont be sorry.........I took a long trip this past weekend and it saved me 4 times and all 4 times I was easily doing 15 over and had enough time to slow down all times..........I switch mine from my car to my motorcycle and it works great both places........

thanks UT,

my only question is it detectable?

By asking this I mean, can I have it placed in a location where if a cop walked up to my car, and looked inside, would he be able to see it (meaning, would it still work even though it is hidden somewhere in the car)?

it is illegal to have a detector up here...

Hmmmm, it is kinda cumbersome, id say you need to try and hardwire it somewhere under the dash, or try and hide it somewhere.........what do you drive?

I also own a V1 and they are worth every penny. The directional signaling is awesome!

As far as concealing the V1, yes you or a professional can do a stealth installation and have it wired accordingly.I have seen it done by members of a BMW board that I frequent, and will try to find you pictures or a link if time permits.

Just FYI

In areas where radar detectors are illegal....almost all cops with radar or laser also have a device that lets them know if you have a radar detector. My wife is from Virginia....where detectors are illegal....and I'm from Ohio....whey they arent.....anyway....got pulled over and ticketed once for nothing other than having a working radar detector. I had it stuffed in the glovebox by the time the officer stopped me.....but he asked me to hand it over because his piece of equipment said I had one.

I've been thinking about getting a detector...really like the V1...was wondering if anyone has ever used a PHAZER which in essence...supposely makes your car invisible.

PHAZER II

I think I've heard the Phazer isn't as good as it sounds, but can't remember from where.

I too have a V1 and it's the only radar I would every buy. Worth every penny.

a radar detector needs to to have vg-2 to cloak -radar detectors are legal in all states but WV- jammers are illegal in 24 states aND are not very reliable- the valentine is jobbed out overseas and manned at the same plant cobra and uniden is. my co imports over 250 models of radars and most that retail between 140-329 are under 60 dollars wholesale- if you need one let me know ill will help you out.

SPang-

Not speaking for Thunder, but that is one part of his business he owns. I am sure he is willing to help a MJ'er out, just not sure if he would sacrifice his profits for other's to resell. (If that was the intention)

If not, I'll go sit back in the corner!

Thunder, we still haven't had lunch yet....LOL! I still haven't called to set it up I guess...LOL!

i do not deal wth the vals but in other models that rate as well by road and track and other rating sources cobra in my opinion makes the best radar val 1 is a good radar but its vg-2 pick up is weak and x k and ka are very weak WHICH is 90% OF THE RADAR GUNS USED- the val has excellent laser pick up but bang for the buck and overall protection with very few false alerts cobra is the way to go. i deal with all the others but cobra is the best imo. if you want a few stocking stuffers or are a business for resale my co imports for BEST BUY, TARGET,but we have smaller customers as well. get my email from jack or go to our website my cell phone is on the subscription page under western union.
