These braketbusters games really makes you do your homework.Like the early round of the NCAA's or NIT's.Gotta love this as a basketball fan.My MAAC teams playing Buffalo,ODU,Hofstra,etc.RPI's,Conferences,etc.Last nite games with Albany almost knocking off VCU.But tough to handicapp because of the different styles and strengths of teams.I thought Akron would give Nev a good game. Some of you here stressed the Nev. perimiter defense would stop the Zips and they did.

A few games standout in this weeks bracket games. One I love...

Ragin' Cajuns UL-Laf - under double d's to Steven F Austin ******
A few weeks maybe this game would be closer but Cajuns at home are on a defensive blitz krieg. They won last 3 home games vs NO,North Tex,and Denver. They held these teams to 53,58 and 38.And holding NT to 58 is unreal. But denver to 38.Denver scored 3 baskets in the 2nd half and shot 10-53.They lost on the rd to Troy in double OT but beat So Bama on the rd.Last 5 games there playing good.Mitchell is 6'5 and there big scorer at gd.Southall is there 6'10 post player and one of the best big men in the southwest or south.Big time shot blocker,FG%,FT% outstanding.Has dominated the Sun Conf esp in Blocked shots.UL starts 2 fds that are 6'8 but not off. threats.Cajuns are not explosive but run the floor.
SFA has won 3 of 4 and are in the middle of the pack in there Soutland conf. They have a balanced attack with Alexander there leading scorer. But there biggest players are 6'6 and that presents a matchup problem today.
SFA did beat Tulsa early in the season but I think the UL defense shuts down the Lumberjacks and Southall gets the ball pounded to him all day.

Will be back later with a few more. Was lucky last nite and got a push with Loy Md.Thought I lost the game but they came back to push.Won with Albany and shot air balls with the Ivy...

Thanks Coach B..

Hofstra-Siena....becareful here.Pecora is making a game time decision to play Riveria,Kieza and Stokes.all 3 have some injuries. His 3rd place conf is more important with 3 big games left.Siena means nothing except a 17 game home winning streak. If anything take the Saints and the points. But if Hof took this game seriously Saints cannot stop Uter in the middle.I'm passing

So Fl plus over Rutgers ***
Holmes can score but Jones inside will give RU defense problems.Douby-Douby-Douby is a one man team.USF gets its 1st BE win..

Johnnies - over DePaul * They finally play someone who's offense can't hurt them.Johnnies defense tough..

Kent St - over Butler **
They can score, play D and are at home..

Char - over Fordham ***
hate going against the Rams..but Alexander is tough to gd and Withers on the bds are to much for the rams..

Canisius - over Youngstown *
Last game for Griffs at home.Downey who has been "Lost" all yr finally has awoken.Had 27 pts last game.

Marist plus over ODU *
Another tough game.ODU inside attack scares me but Foxes are happy they got ESPN national TV and Iona got nothing.

UConn - over WV **
Huskies got wake up call.

Buffalo-Iona-same as Hofstra..some UB players might not play..lean towards Iona.Iona is furious that marist got the braketbuster TV game.So maybe they take it out on UB

Seton Hall,FDU,Tenn,New Mex St,NAU are all small plays..

UL-Laf top play
So Fl and Charlotte strong plays..

You have'nt been following him for the past few seasons..........he has won way more than he has lost and he knows more about hoops than most all of us.......you remind me of a friend I have he plays others picks only so he has some one to blame after he loses...........I say to him........

"If you dont have the balls to play your own games then we you follow someone else have the common courtesy to shut the f**k up you cry baby............."

Yikes!!! Don't hold back anything just let it all out :scared I started tailing Box a few years ago in college hoops and it was like having your own ATM but you have to know when to get off the bus. He has had a bad year but we all do at times but if you don't like the fact that he doesn't post a record or put down his spreads then don't follow him. It's as simple as that. I wouldn't win anything if I had to play my own picks in college hoops, the only sport I am any good at is the Nfl so anything I win tailing these guys is money I wouldn't have won. Tailing people is a strange art all in itself, you have to take the good with the bad.

p.s. Thanks for Herm Edwards

Vegas Baby !!
Let me sum this up!!! The most OVERRATED CAPPER at madjacks, with a CBB record of 2- 0, is ME !! LOL !!!

I respect ALL the cappers that put in the time, effort and commitment to post all their thoughts, picks, opinions, etc.

I, as a "tailer", have a few cappers that I like to follow. I'm sure that each coattailer has his favorite capper that he chooses to follow. And each has his own reasons.

I also have my "don't follow" list. However,I NEVER b!tch in a persons thread, that I lost money.

No one has ever stuck a gun in my mug, and forced me to follow a play, GOY,GOM, or lock !!!

I take FULL responsibility for the win/losses that come with being DEPENDENT on others for MOST of my plays.

That being said, bet with your head, NOT OVER IT !!! Good luck to ALL the GREAT capppers at MADJACKS, the BEST sports forum on the world wide web !!!!

I really could not care less what Box's record is. What I do know is that here at madjacks Box has an unparalleled knowledge of MAAC ( which is an extraordinarily tough conference to 'cap for me) and Big East happenings. On quite a few occasions Box has got me to look at a game that I would have otherwise ignored. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't, but I always 'cap every game I play by my own standards, no matter who may recommend them. May I suggest that others do the same?

Regardless, Box is one classy gentleman who's threads are always read and appreciated by myself.

Great info...

Great info...

Box provides valuable insight and information. There are plenty of times I learn something when reading his posts and always look forward to them.

In the end, I determine what my selections will be. I'll admit that I played UL Lafayette based on his liking them so much, but it was MY decision to do that.

I rarely post my opinions on games simply because there will be bashers. I give credit and thanks to those of you who continue to provde your thoughts and selections, even with the BS you get at times.
