That's the NFL for you! 1 week you win a big game and next week- you cant beat a D III college team it seems
I still have no idrea why there was soo much love for Washington in this forum from top cappers.......:0003
This is when NFL starts getting good as teams become desperate and rise or sink- what we learned last week going into this week:
Is Zona that good? Divisional team coming in that got smoked by Pitt?
sf owned minn week 1, then got whooped week 2 - i think they, as a team are prolly somewhere inbetween there. hyde is a huge diff maker for them. minn couldnt stop him from bouncing for big gains after first contact, pitt could - they swarmed. i think the unorthodox style of play kaepernick brings to table will disrupt cards enough and frisco gets a weird win outta it
How good is St Louis? Do they come off a horrible loss and rebound at home with Pitt coming in off a big win vs a bad team?
i think st louis is totally different team home vs away - totally different. i think they can match points with pitt and prolly come away with enough def plays to win this one. they're supposed to have a good def, which we really havent seen on display -the good part- yet. read an article aaron mcdonald getting comparisons to jj watt as being as impactful. i havent seen any film on him, or rams, but my gut says they win - at home. i think fisher is absolutely ecstatic having gurley and mason in backfield. they --at least one of'm-- should make presence felt, i think.
What does that say about Minn who got ass handed to them by SF?
bridgewater unable to make any noise against 49ers secondary, crippled vikings chances of making that a game. i think if he manages well enough, they should be able to play with most . chargers are always able to play with absolutely anyone - they, just... dont it seems. this game should be close, like 4 points, prolly either way. gordon has supposedly been good this yr - his running style is more straightup than carlos hyde. i would give slight nod to minn
Does Philly rebound against a Jets team that is stout against run even though a little banged up? What tricks does Philly have left to show?
philly looks lost. period. they arent threatening downfield at all, and if they can beat your LB to edge, they can have a semblence of running game - but it hasnt been consistent. bradford overrated in my eyes. i think the pass rush from jets will really make sam look even worse than (he) already has. if jets play smart on Offense, like their harvard QB should, they should win. in my eyes, looks toooo easy - for me. all facets, nyj better than phi -right now- specially the attitude dept. if they avoid a team-wide brain fart, they should crush phi's (already fractured) spirits
I still have no idea who the Dolphins and Bills are at this point- staying far away
i think the bills are legit. they can play - their defense will be right there all year. i like them winning outright. miami, for all their great additions and hoopla coming into yr, their O line still cannot block. tannehill (and i like him) has some great weapons, but aside from landry, he hasnt pretty much looked for any. cameron is great receiver, but doesnt fit their 'system' it looks. i have lamar miller and am questioning even starting him vs bills D. suh hasnt done much yet, except apparently, whatever he wants to, regardless of def play call. i figured wake, with suh wold be monstrous. unless their D (miami) makes great strides this week in practice, i dont see them being there at end with buff. prolly should be a stay away game for me, considering sour taste 'phins left in mouth thus far.
Does Johnny Manziel own Cleveland after one week? Let see how they do against Mack & Oakland this week!
as much as manziel has done, i -as a bettor- prefer mccown here, to be able to back clv. their defense too, is pretty tight. i def think they put the clamps on the high oak riding off their win. feels like clv by double digits here. costly turnover(s) by oak the difference
Is New Orleans already done? Does Carolina D dominate NO offense with no Brees?
i dunno how you could make a case for saints. carolina keeps people in games until the 4thQ when they wait for you to keep plugging away, until you slip, then they pounce, and put game away. these 2 teams, when against each other, never really ever make sense. alll signs point to carolina taking this. even w/o kuechly. maybe running tandem (trio?) of ingram, spiller (robinson) moves chains enough and passing game gets big play outta cooks to stay inside the number, but lose?
Indy - its time to step up- There is ZERO chance they don't win this game IMO-
i actually think mariota is gonna carve up indy's def. supposedly tenn's secondary is decent-to-good - and heard almost the entire colts secondary is banged up. mariota has guys to throw to - wright, delanie, green-beckham.... think they too, knock indy down a peg.
Baltimore/Cincy- Bet Cincy twice and won- Bet Baltimore twice and lost- Division game- Balt has Pitt on deck- Cincy O -Line and Dis awesome while Balt is suffering- but 1st home game for Baltimore- One would think Balt rises to the occasion in this one....they have to or else......
balt's off plan, --passing game anyways, has looked like joe just throwing jump sideline balls to receivers. theres little to no scheme to get guys open. crockett gilmore made some hay against oak, but apparently so does any TE. i think the coaches get in the players ears -that and suggs in their ears, and they -as a team- get the W. dalton has looked - good, but against weakish competition. i dont like backing balt (again) like you, but read somewhere here, that cinn was lucky to have made out like did, turnovers wise last week, that game prolly shoulda been closer, if not a loss, way they played. their good streak run out here?
NFL is just crazy!!
Lastly My Cowboys- I honestly am optimistic this week- Love all the love for Atlanta for beating Philly at home Monday night opener and rallying from a 10 point deficit to Giants- Dallas may not win- but love the fact Atlanta is overrated this early.........
i like boys to play gritty - and escobar to have huge game for them. if atl had coleman, i would worry, but unfortunately, for falcons, hes hurt. im still a davonta freeman fan, but coleman is better at this point. think freeman, might be better in different system. boys kept beckham in check, can they do same with julio? atl - ill give'm credit, they won their games, --did what they're supposed to-- but it feels almost flukish how they did. i know, a wins a win, style points or not. i think that karma catches up with them here though, on the road. the falcons d have nooo teeth, pass rush. weeden to escobar and dunbar (see damage sproles did) difference.
