St. Louis (8-8) at Seattle (9-7)

Game Prediction: STL 27, SEA 24

Play: RAMS +4

Here's a bit of a surprise. The Rams get the chance to beat the Seahawks three times in one season. Thanks to Minnesota losing in week 17, the worst division in the NFL gets to start by facing each other in the wildcard round and the visitor has been the better team twice this season already - including in Seattle.

These two teams obviously know one another quite well and the Rams already have swept the Seahawks this season thanks to a fourth quarter comeback that stole the win in Seattle back in week five.

On paper, the Seahawks should win this game but there is almost always one visitor that wins in week one of the playoffs and this game seems much more likely the best candidate for it. The Seahawks will be without Grant Wistrom this week and Koren Robinson is back to his old antics that got him deactivated from last week's game. He's now with the scout team so far this week and it appears that Jerry Rice will again be the starting split end. Throw in Hasselbeck who has been bother by elbow problems and the Seahawks are vulnerable even at home.

Neither of these teams are likely to win more than one game this month but one of them has to win here. Stephen Jackson is healthy again and should turn this game into Shaun Alexander against Jackson (with a bit of Faulk thrown in). But when it comes to passing - the Rams have the edge.

Motley  :yup :D

Beware of the snow storm sliding into Seattle tonight......it's gonna be just as cold here as in Green Bay. I couldn't care less who wins this game because I wouldn't bet on or against the Seahawks, but IMO the running game will win this contest not the passing attack of either club.
