Rams agreed to terms with LT Jake Long, formerly of the Dolphins, on a four-year, $36 million contract.
The Dolphins have dropped a ton of coin in free agency, but may enter the 2013 season with Jonathan Martin on Ryan Tannehill's blind side. That could get ugly. Although Long's once-sterling performance and durability have declined each of the past two seasons, Rams doctors gave him the green light and he will shore up left tackle for Sam Bradford. Rodger Saffold will kick to the right side. Long, 28 in May, has made four Pro Bowls in five NFL seasons and was the first overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft.
