I don't know if they were talking much about him on the broadcast yesterday (I had the sound off most of the second half), but I would be very happy with this guy if I were a steelers fan.
QUICK and FAST. Was getting separation. Caught 6 balls, was it? He went 62nd in the draft, and I think a lot of teams will be kicking themselves for missing that one.
Yes, he's small, but when he can separate like that, it doesn't make as much of a difference. I suppose he slipped because of size and he didn't have a great last year in college, but that was because Indiana had moved him to wide out to improve his chances in the draft.
That may pan out to be the steal of the century.
Now, Kordell has definitely shown tendencies towards being a head case when things don't go well for him. I'm going to look to fade the steelers, especially if Bettis isn't healthy.
Liked madden/michaels. That was kind of funny how madden was calling Otis Smith O-T-I-S after the intros.
A couple of production glitches right off the bat. Did you catch Michaels saying "Do we have video of the coin flip?" when they came back from commercial? Dork. Funny "Push, Nevada" joke, even though I had u37.5.
I also think they missed a down while running those spoken intros.
I always get psyched for MNF. Kind of funny, kind of dumb Dennis Hopper intro. HW Jr. is still doing his thing.
I thought the comparisons of the coolness of Brady and Montana were interesting, and Madden was good to be very guarded about NOT saying "he's the next Montana". He also referenced his call in the superbowl where he said the Pats should sit on it, when they got the ball at the end of the first half ("I've seen this before" he says).
