Don't you think Carpenter comes back on 1 day's short rest if it goes games 7. The postponed game could really help the Cards. Plus Lohse just got extra rest and he has a sinker. Sinker ballers do not generally do as good on extra rest cause sinker stays up in zone more.

Larussa would be nuts not to come back with Carpenter.

I don't think it is that big a deal that Carpenter will pitch, other than the fact that the Cards get it to seven games, of course. I think the Rangers will hit Carpenter. He has had a few really good outings, but more often than not, he has only been able to go 6 innings, and I think the Rangers will have good at bats that ensure he doesn't go more than that, if a game 7 happens.

Absolutely. The Cards have their best chance to win with Carpenter on the mound. No doubt about that.
