RANGERS/YANKEES Under 9.5 -110 - Mussina finally suffered his first loss of the season in his last start, but I like him to get back on track today. The Moose has posted Cy Young type numbers to this point, going 7-1 with a 2.02 ERA and a sensational 0.91 ratio. Incredibly, he has a 65/10 K/BB ratio in 58 innings, and he is fully capable of keeping this aggressive Texas lineup off balance. Mussina held the Rangers to just 1 run and 5 hits in 8 innings in his first start against them at Texas last month. Thomson has been erratic, going 2-4 with a 5.47 ERA. However, he does have 6 Quality Starts in his last 8 starts overall, so his poor W/L record can be partly attributed to the bullpen blowing saves for him. That would not figure to be the case today however, as the Rangers bullpen has been sensational in this series, including 4 perfect innings yesterday. Also, the Under is now 25-13, 65.8% in all of Thomson?s starts since the beginning of last season.
