Even watching semi-pro hockey live is great...And you'll always get good seats for cheap...I'm not a big hockey fan by all means, but my company has drawings for free Bramas tickets all the time in Ft. Worth...If I ever get a hold of any, I always get a good show...

Football is easily the worst of the live spectator sports. Way too many stoppages in play. Baseball has the same malady, I guess, but at least the weather's nice, the chicks at Dodger Stadium are hot and the Bratwurst taste good. Generally I only go to football games to support my alma mater.

Most popular has to be:

NFL, NCAAFB, MLB, NCAABB, NBA. I don't think Midwesterners and Southerners realize how little interest there is in NASCAR outside of those two regions. Golf is another that is hardly on the map for most sports fans outside of a few big events.

Personal faves are Pro Wrestling, Euro Soccer, NBA, NHL, MLB. It's a sport, damn it. ;)

Soccer is a fag sport???? Seems like you might have some homosexual tendencies yourself the way you talk about "fags" in your thread...Though I don't want much of the above mentioned, you must be one of those "Al Bundy" types where you sit on the couch, balding, and totally out of shape, pondering where your wonder years of high school football went. All above sports require quite some bit of athleticism. And I'm farthest from gay, but I swam the 200 yd IM in high school and played sweeper for our advanced rec. team all the way into my mid twenties. I don't think I've ever had the urges to play butt darts with any of my team mates back then...

1) NFL
2) College Football
3) College Hoops
4) Swimming (Olympic or College Level)
5) World's Strongest Man

Jim - I take some exception with your swimming comments. Swimming paid for my college education and if it wasn't for that I'd never get the opportunities I did. But I'm not suprised, I know your type - you're probably the guy that sits around all day with potato chip crumbs on your gut calling guys fags, while those "fags" are getting all the ladies, and you've got a sore wrist and some stained boxers to show for your efforts.

And the "bikini" is the thing of the past - the sport has evolved much unlike your maturity level.

I don't care if you are confronted by 5 midgets, you'll probably get your fat azz tromped...You're a funny guy...I bet chicks laugh at you all the time...by the way, I did swim with those lycra swimsuits...I for one am totally secure with my manhood...Not my problem if your turtle goes back in it's shell... if you were to ever put one on, you can blame your shrinkage on the cold water...

Too funny Jim - saying that a swimmer is more likely to be homosexual because they are in brief style bathing suits is like saying a wrestler is more likely to be homosexual because his sport is based on touching other guys. Makes no sense.

I'm willing to bet that statistically the amount of swimmers, football players, hockey players, and chess players are in line with the percentages of homosexuals in the world. It's called the law of probabilty.

And football players don't take showers after practice??? At least swimmers have bathing suits on I'm sure those football players are dropping towels and god knows what else. Jim you seem to know a ton about figure skating for something that hates it so much, I've never really sat down and watched it so I can't tell you if they are gay or not. Regardless they are athletes I don't think it's very easy to jump and twist or whatever they do on ice.

I spent my time in the locker room trying to figure out how to beat Navy not join up with them - looks like you'll never be convinced Jim. Too bad you're missing out on one of the better Summer Olympic sports in my opinion.

Eric, boxing is a sport? LOL, come the fawk on, I think the lesser known fights are cool, but that "sport" has got the most scandal and non sense of anything, and you're ripping golf? sure it isn't exciting to some, but it is the hardest to play for somebody, I doubt many would argue, boxing is like wrestling on the heavyweight level, I guess its suspenseful and I like some decent fight once in a while, but overall it disappoints, ie 30 second fights for paydays like tyson against peter mc neely

Scandal and non sense you will find in every sport, at least it requires some sort of skill and training. Golf hardest to play, I think not... The hardest thing to do in any sport is hit a baseball coming at you at 90 mph. FYI - You have 1/1,000th of a second to react to a ball coming at you at an average pitch of 90 mph. When a big-league fastball is on the way, you must do far more than just blink. You must swing the bat to precisely the right spot at precisely the right time.
