Ranking the NFL starting quarterbacks from first to worst

In an attempt to quantify the league?s 32 projected starters as training camps get under way, USA TODAY Sports has done an exhaustive study to assess each of them. Based on All-22 NFL game film study, each quarterback was graded in six categories (accuracy, arm strength, athleticism, pre-snap, field vision and pocket presence) on a scale of 1-to-10. Those grades are averaged to derive a total grade, which determines the rankings:
