I dont post often. In fact, I had my password resent to me so I could post this. The reason is that ESPn/disney/abc is becoming so annoying and cheesy I can't take it anymore and try not to watch. "They call him the matador"?, "we're going to hurt him in a cash game"..jesus, this show looks like the writers of the mickey mouse club are back in action. Just because abc suckas and is always llast in nielson ratings disney doesnt have to jump in make me watch a thousand commercials about its ridiculous take on the latest fad. I mean, the seaon on the brink has been laughed at by many people (except the writer Feinstein? who openily wishes he never let espn make the movie because the acting was so bad. Dont get me started about Playmakers. Ok I'm done. I feel better. If I see one more commercial about the talented matador, I will freak out. Thanks for listening. and a meesage to abc/disney/espn...your mviers/series suck. And i mean that suck huge.

I agree. ESPN movies are crap. That Pete Rose story was just BRUTAL. And then they ran it a half million times. Weak acting, terrible writing, lead actor who looked NOTHING like Rose, acted nothing like Rose. You'd think Petey was a brooding, lifeless person if you went by that movie only.

Playmakers was so bad it hurt.

Whenever I think of ESPN, I think of the movie Spaceballs.

ESPN - The toilet paper

ESPN - the window shade

ESPN - the tampon

The ESPY's. LMAO

That whole outfit is such a circle jerk.

They ride the whole Valvano situation like it is some F'n crusade.

Keeping on the ESPN bashing, I have totally ignored their website for close to a year now. Did not like the changes they made to make it more multi-media.

I always love to see people bashing this network as I have been doing so for several years now. This network lost its identity quite a while ago. They should change their name to MSON--Male Soap Opera Network.

How come the game isn't enough anymore? Why are we bombarded with sideline reports every two minutes? Why do they think we care about what the players have to say about their childhood, their seventh grade coach, their dog who got run over when they were eight years old...??? Go back to two announcers...play-by-play & color---that's it! Then I just might turn the mute off...as long as Mike Patrick isn't calling.

And speaking of dumb espn shows, don't forget that survivor-like thing they did to pick a new anchor. Wow, that must have been exciting.

Especially when both winners are probably working in the mail room. When was the last time you saw them on tv?

Saint..its funny because a while back i saw the first winner(i think) working with sean salsbury and he f''up like 4 times before a commercial saved him. Salsbury looked like he was going to say something on the air about how bad the guy was doing

I agree with everyone on the ESPN topic - this has become a channel essentially presented by and made for the "Justin Timberlake" crowd.

The only exception I'll make is when Jason Whitlock appears on the Sports Reporters - he is really good, I like his attitude and manner. And he really understands the games.

Oh, and how brutal is that moron Joe Theismann on SNF??

I saw one of the finalists from that show doing play by play of a dodgeball game on the Gameshow Network. Hopefully they don't run that show anymore, I never watched it, but I couldn't stand having to see a commercial for it every 2 minutes.

The first winner is always on ESPN news, don't think he'll make it to ESPN, never watched the second one so I dont' know who won.

Ok, i'll be the bad guy and play devil's advocate; While i agree with the movies and such being downright terrible, i do think '3' was very good (which surprised the hell outa me, cause i wasn't expecting much). The best part of espn tho are their game day shows and inside the nfl and nba shows. Quality stuff really. (Don't know what i'd do if i had to listen to terry and howie, or boomer and shannon sharpe, other than needing a fricking interpreter for sharpe. He shoulda been the actor playing mushmouth on the new fat albert movie.) But the main reason i like espn, is the lack of ANYONE else. I mean fox sports net........... c'mon gimme a break

Stephen A. Smith and Chris Berman.... Thats all I have to say about ESPN. I remember when there was a time Berman was good now its just like we mock everything he says or does. I know he's an original but come on.

It's all ego, humor, and drama. I just want scores, highlights, and games. If I wanted the latter too I would turn Comedy Central on or talk to the Mrs.

Enjoying all the ESPN talent on the radio staying clear of this Ohio St mess right now. After shredding Mo Claret (spelling) all that time, they are now doing a limited "backstroke" and everyone is covering their ass because the other shoe may drop in this sucker and Mo may be cleared after being called a worthless liar. Nothing like hearing a Kirk Herbstreet or a Chris Spielmen tap dance their ass off. These are two people that have no problem giving exact opinions on anything football. They are so middle of the road on Ohio St questions they should think about running for office. Seems pretty clear to me that even long after graduation OSU has a strong influence on it's former athletes verbage. Must be a good idea to stay clear of any possible wrath from using the wrong words when the alma mater comes up.

On another note......
For all the shitty things he does, love it when Bobby Knight fearlessly lays into ESPN or it's "commentators". He's the only one that let's them know it's about the game and the students.

As yyz said:

"I just wanna race Daddy"

Makes me puke. While on the subject of #3, I've seen a window decal with the number 3 that said: "Some gave all". What the hell does that mean? As if Dale willingly sacrificed his life for some great cause. That kind of phrase can be applied to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan but how the hell can it be said about Dale Earnhardt?
