looking like its going to be patchwork offensive line for the ravens this season...

Ravens signed G Will Rackley, formerly of the Jaguars.

Rackley has 25 games of starting experience, though he was mostly manhandled in those contests. His most natural fit is at either guard spot. The Ravens are searching for an answer at right tackle. The Baltimore Sun wonders if Rackley could slot in at left guard, giving the Ravens the option to move LG Kelechi Osemele to right tackle. Rick Wagner is currently penciled in at right tackle.

this guy over the course of the last few years has been consistently rated at the bottom of league offensive guard ratings....kind of an odd signing....my only guess is that the ravens feel at 25,he`s still salvagable((he was a 3rd round pick).....but it continues a long history of patching offensive holes while drafting and building defense from the ground up with blue chippers....

the whole draft was a big ? for me.....we don`t know what the rice situation will be(or even whether he`s shot or last year was just an anomaly)...our other back is coming off long rehab after shoulder surgery....our late 4th rd running back(Taliaferro, was basically a 5th rd pick) is a reach by almost anybody`s evaluation....

year in and year out the team drafts defenders early and basically tries to fill offensive holes with old retreads from other teams(or late round draftees /udfa`s)...

this is why I feel for flacco...they blow millions on the guy and give him old castoffs to work with...

it`s not the 90`s...you need SOME offense in the new nfl...
