Vanished into vortex
Guys, I am a huge GNR fan from back in the day, I mean huge. I really hated to see Axl try and replace the original members with a new cast of characters, but he did and I was somewhat looking foreward to the upcoming tour as a chance to see a least a piece of what was the greatest rock show of all time.

I wasn't totally impressed with the two songs:

Better

There Was A Time

that have been floating around the internet, but still, Axl would be worth the price of admission and since we'll never see the original members back together again no matter how high the cost of heroin gets I decided I would still see the new line up in concert if it came anywhere close.

There is a show in (of all places) Cleveland and I decided I was gonna go, UNTIL I visited the GNR home page and saw a video clip of the new group performing "Nightrain".

I think I am gonna vomit, this is an abortion. Since it was Axl I could over look the back stabbing, the lying, the stupidity, etc.... But is this what it has really come to?

It's been a while since I have been this dissapointed. I guess I held out hope all these years that the original members would get back together, or at least the new members would be tolerable. Neither is happening.

As far as I am concerned, RIP GNR :sadwave:

wow, didn't know they were touring, and the second date is Nashville :com: Don't have enough time to plan to go now!

On this version of Nightrain, I don't think it's the worst thing I've ever heard, but I definitely don't like hearing the other 2 guys chiming in on the "nightrain"s. That sounds bad. Axl sounds pretty good to me though

I saw GNR twice when they visited Helsinki a few months ago. Still a good show and worth to see, but light year from original group.

Beats Velvet Revolver 100 - 0 any time.
