posted this couple days ago, really thought Dodgers + 200 series price was ridiculous, evidently it was as it has come down 30 cents.

Derek Lowe is a big money game pitcher, I've seen it with Boston back against the Wall in previous playoffs against Oakland & Yankees. He has been incredible last 9 starts with a Era, 0.93.

Cubs handled Dodgers 5 of 7 this season, but that was without Manny, Blake or Rafael Furcal. Cubs A Ramirez & Soriano big choke last post season going 2-26 is something to remember. Further A Ramirez has never hit Lowe, 2-16. Cubs have majority RHB, very little LH bats to worry about, and Lee hasn't been hitting all that well. Dodgers have many good power RIGHT ARMS, that I believe Cubs could very well struggle against.

Cubs have a decent bench, but Dodgers will have players like Kent, Nomar, Pierre and others on bench, that's a lot of flexibility. I really like dodger bullpen compared to Cubs.

Although RD has been awesome at Wrigley, I feel Lowe is worth a shot at + 140.

Dodgers I already played at + 200, I thought that was a STEAL.

GOOD LUCK

I'm a Cubs fan, and I back your logic 100%. There are far too many variables for any team to be a sure thing in these opening series. The Cubs have far more pressure on them than the Dodgers, which will play a part during this series.

I probably wouldn't be excited about the Dodgers 1-to-1, but +135 today and +170 for the series look very solid to me.

I have to "chime" in here.

Wrigley will be juiced tonight. That energy alone will injest victory. I think the Cubbies smack them around tonight. Do you think if Lowe falls behind 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0 that they are coming back ?

Cubs in 4 - I'm being generous here giving them a win.

Only game they might win is the Barbara Billingsly game.

I may be wrong. Take the "hungry" team in ths spot. Bet against the letdown in 2.

People are looking for the screw up to happen but this Cub team is on a mission.

OK, I guess the mission got canceled last season when Soriano & Ramirez went 2-26 and got booted rather easily.

I have a theory. Just because you make 9 free throws in a row doesn't mean that you will make the 10th. Good Luck.

Good luck to you Simon
my theory says there is money players, that perform when the money is big, and those that fold. Manny Ramirez performs big when the big games come. A, Ramirez hasn't, Soriano hasn't, the Cubs historically haven't. Listen I'm not saying Cubs are definitely winning, but at + 200 I took my shot.
