Marist -11 over Delaware ***
Foxes ended on such a bad note lyr winning the MAAC and then getting beat in the tourney. They lost there top 3 players,Jordan[NBA} Whittington and Smith. All 3 scored 60 pts total in lys 78-62 win over UD.Foxes are preseason picked 5th in MAAC...but they are going to surprise...replacing Jordan w/o a doubt is tough because he handled the ball 75% of the time. But Brady has a good pt gd in Devezin a juco tranfer and before that a Texas AM freshman..he is good..saw him this summer...also the "gem" of his new kids is the crazy and wild 6'5 McCrosky who will be an impact player in the MAAC.Not much press yet but we locals know and so do all the MAAC coaches..Jimmy Boe of the Cuse and McCrosky had 3 yrs together in the dome.Boe asked him once in a big time game..."do you think you can get an assit and pass the ball just once to a teammate..."McCrosky answer was " I took the ball out of bounds and passed it in"...Mc has one year left and many were surprised Brady let him come to Marist. But Brady was smart realizing he was losing his top 3 players...McCrosky will pass and play as a team player..but he will lite it up also...He was listed as a pre-season 2nd team all MAAC..you heard it here first...he will be 1st team..he can play...
Foxes have Stilphen,Farmer and Spongy back..they need to play better defense.. Also 6'7 Schnieder a tranfer from Vermont will play and help the foxes.UD has Courtney and he scares me.He is one of the top players in conf. Two freshman will start from this 5-23 team frm lyr.
Not a big play because the foxes need a few games to play together..they will play zone to stop Courtney.Home crowd is really excited about Devezin..at the pt..and of course McCrosky...game is on local TV...I hope the hell he passes the "rock" unless he's nailing down 3's..

Loy Md -5 over Penn **
Still upset about Greyhounds losing to Towson the other day..this is one talented team with Brown and Sullivan...Patos there coach after the loss said..." this was the most disappointing loss in my 4 yrs". Hope he gets his players back on the right track vs Penn.

Hampton +10 over Tulsa *
Small play..Tulsa is loaded but Hampton has some scorers..think they keep this game close..

Yesterday went 2-2 but did win the best play in BYU. Hopefully will end the week up..\
Overall 9-4-2..GL today..

Well, we've split on LoyMd this weekend.....thanks for the write up on this today because I was unaware of the game this afternoon until I saw your post.

It was as easy today as Friday was aggravating.

Judging from the tenor of your posts, you must feel this is a legit club in the league race.

How do you factor it this year? Should be intersting to see Siena take on the Cuse tomorrow......any thoughts on that?

Regardless, looking forward to your posts this winter. I'm gonna try to post more picks this season, so hopefully I can lead you to a winner or two as pay back of sorts for the last couple of season.

Big news in Poughkeepsie today. I put the news release here.marist won by 11 so it was a push but they were up 13 pts with the ball with 30 seconds left..then no one cares and you just pray it stays a push...marist was up with 23 seconds left with the ball and Delaware let them run the clock out...considering McCrockey didn't play the foxes looked pretty good.

McCroskey scratched for Marist men's opener

Marist College announced at 3:30 p.m. that a pending NCAA eligibility issue inherited from Louie McCroskey's stint at Syracuse is keeping him out of the lineup for today's game against Delaware. Marist is working through the reinstatement process with the MAAC office and the NCAA.

"We hope to have this issue resolved in a timely manner," Marist athletics director Tim Murray said in a statement. "Right now there is no timetable from the NCAA, but we hope that Louie is back on the court as soon as possible."

Marist senior guard Louie McCroskey, who transferred from Syracuse after playing three years under coach Jim Boeheim is sitting on the Marist bench in street clothes during the shootaround.

McCroskey, who had several spats with Boeheim in his three years in Syracuse, was practicing with the Red Foxes as recently as Thursday when the Poughkeepsie Journal reported on its preview coverage.

Also out of the lineup for Marist are Ryan Schneider due to a shoulder injury and Jeremiah Bowman, recovering from a broken foot.

Toledo...Loy is one of the best in the MAAC..
Siena -16 tomorrow is pretty intresting..Cuse has 2 freshman that are awesome, esp the Flynn kid from Niagara. I got to see him play and I love him...impact gd... lloking foward to your imput..lets win some games
