RED SOX/DEVIL RAYS OVER 9.5 -110 - It is very difficult for me to pass up a Boston Over that is less than double-digits! After all, the Over is now an incredible 30-11 in all Red Sox road games this year, with an average combined score of 11.59 runs per game. Wakefield has contributed to this record, as the Over is 11-5 in all of his starts. Although he is 3-1 on the road, he has a brutal 6.17 ERA away from Fenway Park, with a very high ratio of 1.63. He was also roughed up in his only outing vs. Tampa Bay, allowing 5 earned runs in 5 innings. Gonzalez was probably pitching the best ball on the Rays staff until he finally faced a real offense, as the Braves reached him for 6 earned runs on 9 hits in 5 innings in his last start. Now, he must cope with a Boston offense that is hitting an even .300 vs. right-handed pitching this year, including a hearty .341 in the last 10 games!
