BOSTON RED SOX +110 ? This one really doesn?t need too much analysis as we are getting the team with the best record in baseball as an underdog vs. a Dodgers team that is batting just a modest .247 at home this season. Also, the Red Sox apparently enjoy playing on the road, as they have a phenomenal road record of 28-9! Not too much separates tonight?s starters based on their home/away splits. Burkett is 4-1 on the road, but with a rather high ERA of 4.66 and a 1.45 WHIP. However, Nomo is not much better at home, at 3-2 with a 4.50 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. With the starting matchup being even, this game should be decided by the intangibles, not the least of which is Boston?s 45-24 record, showing that they KNOW how to win.
