Russia is a conservative paradise, religion and politics, throwing musicians in prison, keeping non violent people in prison, hatred of gay people, etc. The USA isn't that much far behind, we must STOP conservatism in its tracks here at home.

........................................................................................................................

This guy has the right idea. hedge you should seriously consider moving to Russia at some point

they are conservative to the nines.

In the shadows
So my philosophy
Is don't fuck with me
I won't fuck with you
Don't bring your laundry to my house
Just leave me alone

What political slant would you put me in?

The imprisonment of Musicians really sucks!
Unless it is Beiber or Nickleback.

I get the whole tolerance thing
But here's the rub
So Hedge and others don't like gays?
So what. Be tolerant of his views

Democrat Terry McAuliffe has been declared the winner of the Virginia governor's race by Fox News and NBC News.

McAuliffe defeated Republican and tea partier Ken Cuccinelli on Tuesday. McAuliffe takes the place of Gov. Bob McDonnell (R), who was barred by state law from running for re-election.

According to Reuters, polls showed McAuliffe with a strong lead over Cuccinelli going into Election Day. The matchup was closely watched, putting tea partiers -- who favor Cuccinelli -- on the defensive.

Reuters reported earlier on the race:

Virginia, which relies more than most states on federal paychecks and contracts, was hit hard by the government shutdown last month. Most Americans have blamed the Republicans and especially Cuccinelli's conservative Tea Party wing for the shutdown.

and so it begins for the tea baggers

Americans will not buy that bullchit, even in Virginia

GOP blamed for the shutdown................. duhhhh no shit

We just picked up a copy of ?Double Down,? the Mark Halperin ?John Heilemann account of the 2012 presidential elections, and have found the root of Herman Cain?s downfall on Page 211: Jon Huntsman, the other Mormon candidate from Utah:

"After getting a tip from a donor, Huntsman's researchers had dug into Cain's past, discovered the first two sexual harassment claims, and fed the story to Politico. Not that Cain was seen by Team Huntsman as a particular barrier to their man. But the Utahan?s people were increasingly desperate, looking for any opportunity to upend the prevailing dynamic.?

Back in the day, Cain?s campaign had accused Texas Gov. Rick Perry of spreading the info that ultimately forced the former pizza executive from McDonough out of the contest.

Cain discussed the matter this morning on AM750/FM95.5 NewsTalk WSB, crowing just a bit at Huntsman's dismal showing in the race:

"I still continue to vehemently deny the claims and in the upcoming commentary on HermanCain.com I will detail some of the information and the facts that show these claims were in fact false. ...

Since the subject, it's interesting to look at the stats red/blue states.

With a few exceptions:

Blue staters pay more in federal taxes than they take out. Red states take out more than they pay in.

Illiteracy is higher in red states than in blue.

Obesity and the resulting medical problems are higher in Red states.

School drop out rates are higher in red states.

Divorce rates are higher in red states.

The percentage on food stamps is higher in red states.

I think it's time to draw a new mason Dixon line. Let the red states form a separate country and pay their own way. They can elect Glenn Beck their President, and end up like Somalia.
