Redskins FAVORED?!?! - Saturday night play on New England

I really don't understand hanging this big a number on NE and making them the 3 pt dog. The starters will play a bit longer and the defense will only be more hyped up after their stellar performance against the Giants. A guy like Dan Klecko is going to have a all you can eat feast on the Skins 2nd and 3rd team after his 2.5 sack performance in Week 1. The guy is 5-10 and benches 570!!!! Did anyone even watch the Redskins play in Week 1? I know its only preseason but it was one of the most pathetic games I had seen. I don't see the gap between the respective units on these teams closing that much by Saturday, and certainly not enough to justify this line. I thought it might have been a mistake and should have been NE -3, but no.

Klecko played against the 3rd and 4th team when he got his sacks, also he only benches 495 in his own words!! The media is making this kid out to be the next great Klecko- Forget it!!! He's 5'10" 275lb Noseguard!!!!! Yea right, he will get DOMINATED up and down the line in the reg. season. Look for him to be a special teams player at most. This Pats 'D' is an awfully strong unit but Klecko has no part in that.
I'll take Spurrier to let the dogs loose and seriously try and win this game. Behlicheck knows the little value an NFLX win brings, but Dan Snyder has already publicly stated that he expects this team in the preseason as well as regular season.

UH EDGE, what game are you betting on? I'm not talking about the regular season, nor am I talking about where he will play once the season starts. Did you even read my writeup, you are making my point for me. I bet one game at a time, I'm not laying any lumber right now on where klecko will play come Sept.

Klecko will again be going against third stringer and as I live in DC and am a Pats fan I think I have a good handle on both these squads. Klecko beat up on a Giants 3rd string that in my opinion outranks the DC boys by a lot. This line is inflated I think because of the name recognition Spurrier brings to this game. What dogs does Spurrier have to let lose? Answer: not many.

Bellichik loves Rohan Davey and has said he has the best touch and best deep ball of the 3, and Davey should see most of the 2nd half. So I watch for him to matchup against some week corners like Rashad Bauman. And who is Klecko going to be feasting on? Try Danny Wuerfull on for size. Oh boy.

(update) Washingtons starting center is out as well as their #2 and #3 RBs for this game. New England has no significant outs as of this time.

Anyway, good luck either way. I'm just glad football is back.

skins were pathetic on scoreboard LW but they couldve scored 14 with any luck and gave up INT for another cheapie setup ... as far as NE they looked like super bowl team in their game ... LY pats beat skins in DC 28-14 for skins only preseason loss ...

this is perfect example of bounce factor even if it is xgame and I dont how many times i have tried betting against a team that screwed me week b4 ... truth is neither team is as good or bad as they looked previous week

Think Skins take this one. Last year they went 4-1 in the preseason and I think they want to please the hometown fans. Waiting for line to possibly move to 2.5. Spurrier will want to score alot of points even if its his 3rd string in there.

Really? You dont think he wanted to score a lot with his 3rd string last weekend? Carolinas 3rd D vs. NE 3rd D is no contest. WAS got shut out against Carolina, and now their 2/3 RBs are out, and their starting Center. Which means 3rd teamers are going to have like a scout team center or something like that.

I don't like the Pats at all here Ace-
Considering the fact that Spurrier is such an egotistical ass, he will play his starters longer in this game just to ensure Mr. Snyder gets a win for the hometown boys. Don't get me wrong- the skins look to be a real joke this season, coles could be the most overrated WR in the league, but this is one game that he will use everything at his disposal to try rout the Pats.
