L'ville was up by 7 before the ref's call on the punt and up by 10 way after that - not sure the Cards' L can be pinned on that call anymore, regardless of all other calls that went against Uconn before and after that

Bottom line was they had 10 point lead late and gave up 2 TD's - absolutely horrible officiating and no one likes to see that, but in the end the Huskies outplayed L'ville

gl to all tomorrow

Come on Burns, you know that a punt return TD changes the game drastically. The crowd got back in the gaem, and UConn got a spark. Its as simple as that.

Granted, but is still changed the game drastically. UConn was down they had done nothing on O all night at that point & now the got a gift 7 & a tie game.
i guess uconns 2 turnovers in the redzone dont count as them moving the ball in the 1st half? :142slap: :mj03:

Obviously the game at that point was changed but come on, at worst for the Huskies at that point was a one score deficit with the ball - Uconn's running game was already working well, problem was red zone efficiency, who's to say they wouldn't have moved the ball on that drive? L'ville was extremely pumped up after the blown call and they helped use that to gain a 10 point lead - and what about the big missed call the other way? think that the 1st and goal from the one would have changed the game drastically? Cards got 3 on that drive as well

No one wants to see calls like that, def real bad - but that crew missed every call they made last night - couldn't L'ville have won the game in spite of that miss after they held a 10 point 3rd quarter lead? Cards backers think they would have def held the 7 point lead if not for the missed call that came even earlier in the game? doesn't make much sense

bad calls...........for sure!!
did not know that...per the rule book that it was NOT a legal fair catch signal???
CT was fortunate to win...given the mistakes, turnovers and missed opportunities.
Refs DID a good job of payback..
Bottom Line: Louisville Had the game in hand after touchdown off fumble.........they got outplayed from there and lost the game on their own!!
Props to CT D for the W!

I hate to sound dirty..but that was dirty of the UConn returner. I think on that last punt, you take a cheap shot after his fair catch and just knock the absolute shit out of him. Then explain to the ref that he did the same thing last time and ran for a TD...

AMEN BROTHER. Those would have been my exact instructions- knock the shit out of the guy on the next faircatch. I also would have told my return man to call a fair catch and takeoff after a 1 sec. pause.
