Whew did not read it all but sorta reminds one of MIA,fl/OHIO ST and the bickering post game then.

Lets see the Buckeyes took OT X 2 to win that one but at +13.5 to +14, they won by a larger margin ATS than LSU did.

But as someone said where is the crystal football ?

Congratulations to LSU and Cajun Sports I know how you feel, I sorta felt the same way last year.

Now I will go back and read more of this, unless I fall asleep first.

Jack maybe you need a trunk monkey at work here on the forum.

Columbus residents will know what I am talking about. :D

I never said LSU did not dominate the game. LSU was the better team, i clearly said that and i clearly said LSU deserved the win. However, LSU made mistakes, and so did OU. LSU also got lucky during the game. The facts do not lie. LSU easily, EASILY, could have had up to 3 more turnovers. That would have changed the whole game. If you do not agree, your kidding yourself. Remember, 2 turnovers LSU lost were called back, and then 1 more turnover LSU had the refs called it not a turnover. At USC, we are upset if we turn the ball over once in a game. So maybe we have different standards about how game is suppose to be played. LSU had 2 INT's and 1 fumble, and luckily escaped 3 more turnovers on top of that. That is simply not tolerated at USC, and that is considered a horrible game by a Trojan fan.

I am not upset LSU passing USC, because that was the system. USC got what they wanted, ROSE BOWL and NC. Only thing USC did not get is unanimous NC, and LSU did not get that either. LSU went to the sugar bowl because ND lost their last game, Hawaii lost their last game, and Washington St. lost their last game (playing their frosh qb and lost game on last min. drive). So again LSU is the lucky team, not USC. Oh yeah, Ole Miss kicker (who is regareded as best kicker in nation) missed 2 FG's that would have beat LSU. Too bad USC could not share the same luck as LSU. Before the season started, USC schedule was suppose to be top 10 in the nation, teams did not play to their expected level, and USC SOS still was strong at #30 in nation.

Is this sour grapes? NO, i am estatic USC won the National Title in what was suppose to be a rebuilding year. I also know both the coaches poll and the AP poll all think USC was the best team in the nation this year. (remember, coaches were "obligated" to vote winner of BCS, but 3 said FU to BCS). But everything i have posted is not subjective, it is OBJECTIVE. Cannot argue with what i posted.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The more you post, the more you show how clueless you are. You were so happy with USC winning the national title in the Sugar Bowl when you swore up & down that USC would be there.

I highly doubt USC's goal was to win an AP Title but the BCS Title, the same title you felt so sure they would win when they played Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.

What the coaches voted is quite useless as it is well known that most coaches are too busy with their own teams to even follow what others are doing & alot of times have people around them fill it out.

The BCS "experts" said USC would in in NC if Ohio St. and Miami lost. Both did lose. Unfortunately, nobody expected ND to tank, Hawaii to tanke, Oregon St. to lose prior to playing USC, or UCLA to lose prior to playing USC. Oh yeah, Washington St. lost to Washington. WSU did not have Kegal playing, and WSU had 5pt lead with 3min. left, and Washington drove down field and won the game. WSU would have clinced a Sugar Bowl berth for USC because they would have finished top 10 in the nation. Oh yeah, rememember WSU also lost to ND after blowing double digit lead in 2h @ ND. Now you will argue WSU was not very good team. Well they beat #5 Texas, and WSU belonged top 10 and would have given USC Quality WIn points. LSU benefited from all this. Not sour grapes, but facts are facts. So when I said USC would be in Sugar Bowl playing for Unanimous NC, I did not expect all of this to happen. WHO WOULD? Oh yeah, i will also bring another comparison between USC and LSU. USC against CAL, the CAL kicker made a 50+ yard FG, and made game winning FG 38 yarder to beat USC. Ole Miss (the best kicker) missed 2 FG's to beat LSU. LSU against UGA was CLEARLY dominated in that game, but escaped a victory. Oh yeah, UGA kicker i think missed 4 FG's and LSU won at the very end of the game. Now who has been fortunate this year. YEP, LSU!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite all that, USC was only .15 away from playing for unanimous National Championship. Oh well. If just 1 of the things above went USC way, LSU would have been shut out.

NOW THIS IS NOT SOUR GRAPES. These are just facts. FACTS! But I am estatic USC won a split NC with LSU in what was suppose to be a rebuilding year at USC. WATCH OUT, next year is not suppose to be a rebuilding year. I am putting $1000 on USC to win NC and $1000 on USC to win the pac 10. My money is always where my mouth is. I am not blowing smoke when i talk about USC. Again, you cannot argue or dispute what I say. Everything is objective, not subjective.

Please do not try and debate with me anymore, your making yourself look silly. What i am saying is not debatable because they are things that actually happened. FACTS!

Silly? Look in the mirror & reread some of your posts. You should write a book on how to squirm out of things when they don't go your way.

Talking with you is useless as when an actual fact is brought up, all you will do is spin it against LSU & for USC. Why is it I'm not the only one who sees through your biased self.

Once again, i guess you have poor reading comprehension.

My posts on this thread for the most part, are OBJECTIVE.

Objective=== facts

I cannot spin facts. They are right there in front of you. If you watched the game, you cannot dispute what i have written. I am calling a spade a spade. Sorry if it offends you.

scott:

the problem is that what youre saying is paradoxical. analysis of a team is all about SUBJECTIVITY. only when guys discuss stats and numbers can there be any real OBJECTIVITY, since those are indelible.

its why we have these threads every week.

i agree with a lot of the things you say. but some of your stuff is skewed in a pro-usc way.

ive already weighed in on the topic. you guys can keep goin to town, lol.

My analysis is about the game, both OU and LSU. Name something in my post about the game that in not true. I tried my best to be objective about the game and the info I posted. So whatever I posted, you will have a hard time disputing. I even gave credit to LSU. They earned the BCS National Championship and clearly deserved to be there. I really liked their defense. Very impressive. Hopefully next year USC will be running a similar style defense, as Carroll has recruited more athletes to run his system. The soft zone is not Carrolls defense, but he did it because it worked best for the team and his personnel.

Once again, I am sorry if the facts about the game offend people. I am not taking anything away from LSU. Just pointing out what happened in the game.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!

The one thing you stated that was totally untrue was the fact that Kansas State dominated OU more then LSU did. The #'s do NOT lie.

Mr Hockey

Kansas St. beat OU 35-7 on neutral field in Kansas City (little more/lot more KSU fans).

LSU beat OU 21-14 on neutral field (lot more LSU fans).

OU had ZERO chance in beating KSU, OU had at least 2 chances to beat LSU in last 5 min. 4th quarter.

KSU average/good defense held OU to 7pts, LSU great defense held OU to 14pts.

THis is why I said prior and after the game LSU was in no win situation. They were already playing damaged goods. OU was the team nothing to lose. Not LSU fault, but LSU got a BCS Championship out of it. That is very good and congrats to them.

What really would have been a shame is if USC played OU in Sugar Bowl and LSU not getting any Championship. USC very very easily could have passed LSU in the BCS. Very easily.

NO AP VOTER would have voted LSU NC. LSU would have been completely shut out. So maybe things worked for the best, LSU won their 1st NC in 45 years and USC won their 9th. Congrats to both schools. USC beating OU in Sugar would have been meaningless and LSU would have been shut out. SO things worked out well I guess, except USC cannot be unanimous champions.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!

These are the facts. There is no debate about this. Anyone with half a clue about football will know that LSU dominated Oklahoma from the get go.

Oklahoma had more then double the yards against K-State that they did against LSU.

Great White North
tired of this discussion...

tired of this discussion...

bottom line is LSU did beat OU and in my opinion LSU's defense did not allow OU to do what they wanted to do all game...Jason White was under pressure on a significant number of downs and could not produce...and i loved the way LSU's defense played...

the fact of the matter is, why is everyone arguing about who's #1 or the better team?...Both USC and LSU are national champs and without a playoff or a game between LSU and USC, no one will no who is the better team....you can beat the numbers to death...

all i have to say is, congrats to both USC and LSU!

lets move on guys!
