The Bucs have a good offense and an improved defense but the Saints will look to come out and make a statement in their first game, especially after the way last year ended. They really want to get off to a fast start. The offense for the Saints will again be among the best in the league and the Bucs did have one of the worst defenses in the league a season ago. New Orleans has all the edges in this game and they did win 30-12 here at home last year. I look for the Saints to win and the clincher is the fact that the Home Team is 4-0 ATS the last four games in this

This game opened up at 3 and I would love it at that line. But with McCarron gone and Peterman starting, the line just kept going up. The Ravens will be improved on offense and about the same defensively, which is a good thing. They won?t feel Smith?s absence in the secondary because Humphrey is nearly as good and Peterman is the quarterback. He has the size to match up against big receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Buffalo?s passing offense will be non-existent in this first game.

The Ravens won this game last year on the road and should have won at home had they not given up a long pass on 4th down late in the fourth quarter. Having Tavon Young back from a knee injury helps and Marlon Humphrey is capable of covering A.J. Green. But the defense is about the same, which is fine. The difference in this Ravens? team is that they have three quality receivers unlike last season when they have had one in Mike Wallace. The Bengals allowed Luck to complete 39 of 53 despite having just one really good receiver in T.Y. Hilton (BENJAMIN HAYES)

The Rams are picked by some to represent the NFC in the Superbowl this year. They showed just how strong they are with a 20 point road win over the Raiders on Monday night. The game was tied 10-10 at the half but the Rams outscored the Raiders 23-3 in the second half. They have a strong offense and a very solid defense that has been upgraded over last year. I look for them to have another good showing here at home against an Arizona team that played very badly at home against the Redskins last week. They scored just six points in that loss and I just don?t see them coming up with enough offense to keep this one close.

There were plenty of defensive heroics for the Broncos last Sunday. Chubb split a sack with safety Darian Stewart while cornerback Chris Harris Jr. and linebacker Shaquil Barrett also took Wilson down. Denver has a healthy Shane Ray back at linebacker (missed most of last season with a wrist injury). Combine that with the Broncos? respectable 27 points from the offense and they have to like their all-around performance in Week 1. Denver is 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings between the two teams and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six at home against Oakland.

Ok, so they were not impressive in their opening win and the Bucs were but Philadelphia will show in this game why they are still the cream of the crop in the NFL. Tampa Bay had a one-dimensional offense in their win over the Saints in the opener. That will hurt them in this game. Facing Philly and a much-better defense Fitz and company will not have the success they had moving the ball as in their first game. The Eagles will grind out a win much like in their last win and just like their last win they will also cover the spread.
