I think Dickey will allow enough to contribute to a game that goes OVER 9.5. Also, I believe Holland gets beat up by the Jays. I?d take the OVER for this game.

The Cubs have had success against Wacha. He has a 4.86 ERA against the Cubbies with a 1.38 WHIP. In a couple of recent starts against the Cubs Wacha allowed 6 runs and 4 runs.
ARRIETA has been a money tree for me in 2015 and I plan on riding that train to the bank again today.

Lackey pitched game 1 of this series and he put forth an impressive effort holding the Cubs to 0 runs and only 2 hits through 7.1 innings. The Cubs go with Jason Hammel. Hammel does not invoke any feelings of confidence as far as I am concerned. The Cards squeeze out a victory behind Lackey and get this series back to St. Louis for game 5. Kevin

Stroman has a 1.64 ERA in his last three starts. All he has allowed since coming back is 5 runs in four starts. He is the future of the Blue Jays rotation and for Stroman the future is now. I don?t like laying big juice but I expect the Jays to win this game. Kevin

I lost $115 on the St Louis game but Won $100 on the Dodgers game for a net loss of $15.00 but on the night I won $85.00 because I won with Nashville in the NHL last night.

It?s really hard to bet against deGrom or Greinke individually but it is reasonable to think one may falter just a bit
and that neither will pitch more than six or seven innings. In that case, I LOVE the bullpens to give away the super-slim UNDER total of 6 and allow some runs to cross the dish. Maybe we will get the 2-1 game this pitching matchup suggests is possible but recent history tells us that we will get a little more offense perhaps even an error or two and a very likely OVER 6 total. I am taking good pitching outperforming good hitting. Harvey?s stuff has been excellent and he has shown no ill-effects of some of the rust I was concerned about prior to his last outing. Likewise, Lester has been excellent of late and is certainly no stranger to the postseason lights. I like him to be big tonight as well.

Both pitchers are good and should BE good tonight but last start notwithstanding Jake Arrieta is more than good. He has been the best pitcher to ever to walk the Earth over the last four months. I?ll take him and postseason breakout star Kyle Schwarber to narrowly win tonight. Schwarber is hitting a remarkable .471 with 6 HR and 6 RBI in the postseason and will be looking to be the first rookie to homer in four straight playoff games since Evan Longoria is 2008. I like him to make a difference with his bat and Arrieta to handle the rest. Chris S

Note that the Jays love fastballs. Cueto loves the four-seamer and two-seamer along with a slider. If the slider isn?t on he can get nailed. In his last ten starts he has allowed 3 or more runs so he hasn?t been as automatic as we have seen with the Reds. Cueto also has a career 4.50 against the Blue Jays. The Jays get this one and restore hope in Blue Jays nation but the Over 8 is my pick. Could be a nice parlay.

Dickey has struggled against the Royals for the most part yielding a 4.20 ERA and high 1.46 WHIP in eight starts.

My problem with Chris Young is that he hasn?t been used much by the Royals in the last couple of months. He?s primarily been coming out of the bullpen in relief. In his last ten games dating back to August Young has pitched an average of only 2.44 innings in his last ten games. The most he?s gone is 6 innings. Now they want to throw him in front of the Blue Jays in before the biggest games of the year? I don't thinks so.

My biggest concern about this game is that every 'capper in the world, it seems, is on this Over.
