I think this is a generous line and it should be a DD spread. Rice is an excellent team at home, sort of like Kent St. is. They have beat the crap out of most everyone they have played in their house with the exception of Stanford and UConn, playing formidable in both losses.

To me, it seems the Bulldogs are starting to feel the effects of losing 3 good players who gave them a lot of production early on in the season. Yes, they've played with some heart soon after they were dismissed from the team but heart can only take you so far and the losses are starting to pile up. Things won't get any easier for them at Autry Court. I see a 12-14 point win for the Owls.

agree on your fresno angle- they do look like the effects of of the suspensions are starting to show.

as far as the rice/kent comparison- its fairly apropos; however the one main difference: kent has a suffocating defense at times and rice doesnt know what defense is.

regardless, i think you have a winner in this one

Agreed. I would add that Rice is sort of like the KC Chiefs in that aspect where "you score once, we'll score twice." Most of their mental lapses on D seem to be on the road (UTEP, Nevada) but Fresno just doesn't have the weapons to keep up IMO with their new look team.

Another factor I really like is that it's a conference game.
