I'm assuming Niemann starts for Rice. Granted, the Owls look real strong. One angle that I consider here: Rice has NEVER won an NCAA title in ANY sport. They are in unchartered territory here. Stanford is annually the 1st or 2nd best athletic program in the country. They are accustomed to winning. I personally feel this is a big mental hurdle for Rice to clear as a heavy favorite in a Best-of-3 championship.

Anyone lean this way? Good luck.

first game cards are looking at a stud who can flat out pitch, very well coached not like cal state who was out coached bad pitching move cost them by bring in closer in the 6th should of came with the lefty he had did well all year in spots starts. cards are jumping on first pitch last couple of games knowing fb , well from rice they will see any pitch any time , gm 1 pitcher can throw 4 pitches for stikes a blazing fb, then a change that is a good 12 miles different, a slider and a 4 seam fb. and hides ball well and with a 6'8 pitcher that hides ball and has gas hard to pick up spin because the way he hides it and size it looks like it is on you before you can react. if cards win 2 out of 3 it will be due to bats they have ran through pitching staff. Both coaches are 2 of the best in the game. This will be good but you have to look at rice imo to take 2 of 3 they have their pitching set even bullpen, they fild very good and have timely hitting.

not over but really is with 4 outs left and down 9 with the best or 2 best closer in college who will get to throw in the 9th i think but baseball is more about pitching and deff and timely hitting , not hitting then pitching and rice has top 3 pitchers back and have some good juco hitter coming in with power 2 from san jac and 1 from indian river fl. They will be back and stronger cards are also young they only lose 4 and maybe a few in the draft but i don't think they will. so you will see both of these teams again i would say.
