I can't stand either one of them, but Carroll is a freaking baby. Two weeks ago, he cries about Harbough doing it, and now he does it.

With all the talent they have had at USC, he is the most overrated coach in college football. Don't mistake that for being a great recruiter, which he is, but he is not the second coming like the media wants you to believe.

Remember, Les Miles has the same amount of BCS Championships as Pete Carroll:mj07:

Please educate all of us on how Carroll whined after the Stanford game.

Let me remedy your statement before you make any more commentary with the post game quote from Carroll and then you can tell us where the whining was:

Here is what Carroll said:

"They have a right to, its our job to stop it"?

This was directly in response to Harbaugh going for 2 to get to 50.

If you would like I can post the entire transcript for you to read.

Don't need the transcript, but appreciate the offer - you could see his facial expression on the sideline and you can see that he had a little more conversation with Harbough after the game.

Sorry dude, God forbid anyone challenge the almighty Pete Carroll. He got a payback for all the years he ran it up and if you think a postgame transcript truly gets to the way coaches feel, you need a crash course in "coach speak"

No issue with your follow up>>>

No issue with your follow up>>>

but there is a difference in saying he was whining and that he may have been visibly upset.

I for one have the philosophy that it is the job of the defense to stop the offense and had no issue with harbaugh's decision. USC should have stopped them and got spanked.

But I do have a follow up question about all the times that Carroll has run up the score? Can you provide some examples and the context or is this just your opinion?

I have seen almost every USC game in the Carroll era and can say I have seen some late scores by 2nd-3rd stringers, but don't recall the running up.

Maybe they have, just don't recall.

And if you just don't like Pete, that is certainly your opinion.

Lastly, I think it is great that these other coaches are challenging Carroll as it shows that the Pac 10 is coming along.

Let he not without sin ...

USC coach Pete Carroll doesn't get to ask "What's your deal?" ever again.

Carroll played the victim two weeks ago after Stanford punched in a late touchdown to break half-a-hundred. He famously asked Cardinal coach Jim Harbaugh about his deal during the postgame handshake.

Up 14 late Saturday, Carroll allowed quarterback Matt Barkley to throw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Damian Williams with 44 seconds remaining. Sure, UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel had just called a timeout, but USC could have handed off until the clock expired.

Had Carroll not whined to Harbaugh, the late toss wouldn't be such a big deal. USC and UCLA are hated rivals, and if UCLA didn't want to get embarrassed, it should have kept USC from scoring. But Carroll seemed so offended when Harbaugh ran up the score. Now, that complaint rings hollow.

So run it up all you want, coach. Just don't get upset the next time someone hangs 50 on you.

So how is "saying what is your deal" whining?

The quote I provided was from the post game press conference.

Harbaugh certainly has an issue with Carroll and Carroll with harbaugh, but I would hardly call what Pete did whining.

Let's try a little context for all of you supporting the Classless

Let's try a little context for all of you supporting the Classless

side of things:

USC was up 21-7 with about 51 secs to go. UCLA had all of their TO's, so SC could have essentially run 3 plays and punted and UCLA would have had about 45 seconds left to operate.

Now what if that punt was blocked or returned for a TD and the Bruins then did an onside down 21-14 with about 30 secs left.

Carroll tried to do the right thing and took a knee under the premise that SC was up 14. Neuheisel chose to challenge the 14 pts with the intent that the game was still running and I would assume he was thinking anything could happen with 3 TO's.

Now let's talk about the Stanford situation. Harbaugh was up 48-21 with 3:42 left and they went for 2 to get to an even 50. More power to them.

Even the staunchest Carroll hater has to say that scenarios are vastly different. SC had no chance to beat Stanford and the XP would have made it a 28 pt lead but they went for 2. In the UCLA game, Carroll tried to sit on the ball, Neuheisel down 14 chose to keep playing. SC then scored.

It is what it is, but classless or whining were not in play.

Please don't ever associate me with that clown. Totally different people and I try to be as unbiased as possible.

You are entitled to your opinion as am I.

Good luck to you.

Are you fucking serious?

Carroll didn't cry a single bit about Harbough doing it, so I don't know where you got this drummed up in your head.

Personally, I don't have a problem with what Pete did. The 2 situations are COMPLETELY different.

You're right, Carroll was laughing and acting like a teenager after they scored, Harbough did not.

I don't give a damn if he did or did not personally, I think both were bush league, but that happens; just don't give me this Carroll had justification and Harbough did not, that is BS. You can justify, as Harbough did, that they needed that 2 point conversion in case USC mounted a rally, and mind you Stanford did that with damn near half a quarter left.

I would've been laughing up the sidelines as well. You think Neuheisel called a timeout for strategy? That dick had a purpose behind it and Carroll decided that if Neuheisel didn't think the game was over, neither should he.

Justify going for 2, up what, 4 touchdowns? In 7 or 8 minutes? C'mon...do you just hate USC or something? I'm neutral, I could care less if USC, UCLA, Stanford, or whoever wins every game, or none.
