Up 21-7 and throw a bomb, you are a fucking moron. He called timeout to try and get the ball back, which is what any coach should do. Again, I have very little issue with what Carroll did, but to throw a bomb with seconds left vs going for 2 with a half a quarter to go - STFU

Most of the national media gets it, maybe you with bias's should too.

You just proved my point. He called a timeout to get the ball back. Thus, USC should just stop playing and GIVE THE BALL BACK? LOL

I'm not biased. I could care less about any NCAAF team. I root for none, and if I do, it's Carolina, but not with passion.

How anyone could compare PC and Les Miles is insane, PC inherited a program that was foundering and completely rebuilt the foundation to become one of the top five programs in the country on a cosistent basis. Les Miles came into LSU with a well stocked cupboard of talent on hand. As the talent pool recruited by Saban has slowly drifted out of the program, Miles has lost 8 games in the past two years which is inline with his track record at Okie State. Sure PC seems to lose a game each year that he shouldn't and it may continue since the PAC 10 is starting to become a sleeping giant with the infusion of great coaches. I will say that PC doesnt duck anyone when it comes to scheduling out of conference games which is not the case for most SEC schools who choose to play no one outside the conference.

Didn't compare PC to Miles, simply made a statement that is true - you inferred that I did.

Most SEC schools DO play tough games out of conference - With the exception of Ole Miss - EVERY SEC school played at least one out of conference game against a quality opponent. Ole Miss played UAB and Memphis, which are neither quality right now, but were both bowl teams when these schedules were put together.

GL on your plays MC

Skipper,

You can add Florida and Kentucky to your list of SEC teams that played weak OOC schedules. Florida played two Sunbelt teams, a NAIA school and a team that has been falling apart for the last five years. Florida plays in 2010 a OOC schedule of Miami of ohio, USF, APPY State and FSU. 2011 they play FLAATL, Furman, UAB and FSU. If a team like Ohio State played garbage schedules like that they would be ridiculed, as they have in the past, but even OSU is sacking up with future home and homes with Vols, Cal, Virg Tech, Miami FLA and Oklahoma.

Kentucky played Louisville who is an in state rival and up until the last two years, was very good. As for Florida, it is not their fault that FSU sucks. If each SEC school plays at least one quality opponent each year, they know that their in conference sos will suffice.

I too have a problem with teams playing FCS teams, but having coached at some of these schools, they need the payouts desperately to help fund all their athletic programs. With both Troy and FSU on the schedule, Florida's ooc games are not bad. The fact that they played a Charleston Southern is not great, but every team in the FBS major conferences deserve one gimmie.

Florida has played 8 bowl teams on their schedule, 9 if you include Bama in the champ game, which the Pac-10 or Big 10 dioesn't have. Kentucky played six bowl teams.

Penn St played - Syracuse, Akron, Temple, and Eastern Illinois
Northwestern - Towson, Syracuse, Eastern Mich, and Miami OH

We both can point out and argue of symantics, which I think you would agree, but to your point about Ohio St. being ridiculed - it is only true because they have had it handed to them by two different SEC schools the last two times they made it to the championship game, so yes, they will not get that respect until it is earned.

GL again this week MC:toast:

Skipper,

I understand that the FCS and Sunbelt schools need the $$, but it would be nice to see Florida grow some nads and at least play someone with a pulse outside the conference. As far as PSU, yes, Paterno usually plays a weak out of conference schedule, but they have added Bama to the schedule in a home and home. One team in the SEC that I really respect is Bama, they have really beefed up their non-conf schedule in the past few years and will play home and home games with PSU, Georgia Tech and Michigan State. The Vols have also beefed up their future schedule with games against Oregon, Oklahoma, Nebraska, ohio State, @UCONN, NC and NCST. The last time Florida actually played a good team from outside their outside their conference or out of state was when they played USC in 1982 and 1983.

Good luck this week Skipper

You're right, he should have bowed his head and walked off the field in shame for beating his rival. How dare he get excited when USC scores. If you and Skipper werent blinded by hate of big bad USC, you could never look at those situations and say a team trying to tack on 2 to get to 50 up many, many TD's in the 4th Qtr is the same as a team trying to take the knee only to have the other coach throw it back in his face. If the other team wont except the kneel down and thinks they can still win it, then maybe they are right and the team who isnt being allowed to end the game with a kneel down should try to end it with another score. I have no doubt if it was ND they were playing, ND would have accepted the act of compassion and slunk off the field with all 3 TOs in their pocket

It's funny the amount of people who think big-dollar sports are actually Pee Wee sports and vice versa.

Your kids aren't going to be pros, or probably even playing for a college, and the big-timers don't care about making you feel good about losing.

LOL. With Pete Carroll acting like Miley Cyrus after the TD score and USC dancing around trying to instigate a fight with UCLA that's funny. If Carroll didn't cry like a bitch when Harbough stuck it to him I wouldn't have a problem, but it seemed like he didn't learn his leason. Carrolll is a pussy nothing more nothing less.

uhh, what lesson was that? Not to go for 2 when your up by 4 TD's in the 4th Qtr? Pretty sure he already knew that one. I also must have missed the video where Pete cries. Pissed off? Probably. Crying? Missed it. If whatever tomato can ND gets as coach next refuses to let USC kneel with the ball to end the game, they too should expect SC to continue to play, dont you think?

DD - it is more than apparent that all USC fans are the same. How dare anyone challenge pete the great!! What pete says is always right. After the game - pete said that Barkley saw it and acted like he didn't know about it, but watching more of that video justs gives more insight of why he didn't make it in the NFL.

Bottom line, pete got his azz handed to him on a platter twice this year so he acted like a 19 year old girl who used to be a hottie in high school who all the guys talked about and now added the freshman 15 and has broken out in zits so starts whining and crying about how no one is paying attention to her.

That is what he looked like on the sidelines. Harbough is 2-0 vs PC at USC, but how dare anyone challenge the great pete

Skipper why the hatred????

Skipper why the hatred????

I trust you realize your coach comes from the same lines as Pete????

As for all SC fans being the same, no we are not. Many of us are very dissapointed in the blowouts this year, but does that mean we should abandon our coach? I prefer to support the man who took SC from mediocity back to the consistent Top 10 status.

The only point I think we are trying to make is that the Stanford situation and UCLA situation are not one in the same.

The only thing I think could have been handled diffrerently was that maybe Carroll take a knee again on second down. This was a suggestion made by Bill King on Rivals. Had Neuheisel called another timeout then Pete would have showed that tried to be the better man.

But in all honesty, take USC out of this equation, think about this, and give an honest answer

How would you have reacted if UF had gone for 2 with 6 minutes left in the game up 4Td's in a game in which the Vols had only scored 21 pts to that pt? Might you have been a little angry?

Now play out the other scenario and put Bama in place of UCLA. Kiffin takes a knee up 2 td's and Saban starts calling timeouts.

Ballsweat - I will answer your questions a little later and will answer honestly, but real busy with business today. Not being evasive, but will be back later - but I will say there are a helluva lotta things I disagree with what Kiffy has done.

Back later my friend:0corn

What in gods name are you talking about? Did Pete run over your dog or something? What I, and I believe BS are talking about, is the completely absurd idea that these 2 particular situations are even remotely similar. You and DD sound like your hatred for SC is clouding rational thought. Go back and read your posts and DDs posts - theres little rational thought - just childish name calling of Carroll. The topic was RN's refusal to let USC run down the clock. I dont think RN had to accept it, especially if he thought he could still win. But if thought he could still win, then PC had better make sure that doesn't happen and its game on.

Then Stanford was ok to try the two point conversion right? If USC didn't believe the game wasn't ever, then they should have laid down?

You are a typical USC fan who tries to reword everything to prove your case. Did you see PC on the sideline? You approve of a HC acting like that when rubbing someone's nose in a loss. If so, then don't blame Harbough because at least he didn't jump up and down like he was about to see his idol.

My problem is no one ever can ever question PC, while USC fans know all that is right when it comes to everyone else.

It isn't just me dude, that is the issue. Get a grip and admit that your coach can make mistakes. realize that he is not as good of a coach as the media portrays him to be? Right? I mean with all the #1 recruiting classes he has, and only one NC to show for it?

You are right, these situations are totally different. The Stanford game had much more time left, so it was more acceptable IMO.

Quite frankly, I just love to poke you USC fans because I know you think PC is a god who should not be questioned but worshipped:mj07: :mj07: :142smilie
