Rider -1 over Manhattan ******
Think line is way off....Rider has won 4 in a row....is in 1st place in the MAAC....they have a good frontline with Lundy,Thomas and Carey....they started out the season in the middle of the pack but freshman pt gd Jordan is outstanding...watching him play last week at Marist convinced me during the warmups...slam dunking at his 5'10 size....ball handling skills and the most important skill..basketball IQ...not just athletic..what a perfect piece of the puzzle for the Broncos...then his backup Ives is 5'9 and has a handle...Taylor is their best player at 6'4 and plays the other gd position...Rider has a solid team...Blue Ribbon and the other pre-season publications had them 7th or 8th stating guard play a big problem...think Jordan is the best freshman in the MAAC this year and no one ever heard of him....watching the Marist game last week...everyone left the gym shaking their head saying "who is number 23"....got to watch Manhattan play Marist last week also....Jaspers missed so many 3's from their gds...they have no "go to scorer"....Turner is 5'7 but is caught up in traffic so many times...Waterman inside is good but cannot create inside..he gets the off tip in and layups...Jaspers have Walker,Turner Capu and Council...all midgets who probably can shoot the 3 but are missing...these guys are 43-137 shooting 31% in conf...{9th place}
Rider in conf is 2nd in scoring margin,2nd in 3pt FG%def,3rd in rebounding,1st in Blocked shots, etc,,,in the same and other stats in conf Manhattan is almost last or 9th,10th or 11th...

Rider plays better defense, better offense, rebounds better, and has a much better turn-over-assists ratio...got to see both teams last week close up and there is no doubt who has the better team...Jaspers playing Friday nite at Draddy Gym....small crowd,,students aren't back yet...Masiello is hated by every official in the MAAC and he won't get any calls that are questionable... Rider wins their 3rd MAAC road game...hasn't played since Sunday so is rested..MC played Tues nite vs.Niagara

Yest... lost ETSU...2nd nite lost my top play....
5-3 +4...

I defiantly do good on games I got to witness.....you can throw out all the stats and trends.... sitting in the 1st row and watching teams is the best way to handicapp....even though that isn't 100%... think Rider with Jordan at the pt and their tough front line win this by 6-12 pts...

going to see Texas-West Vir tomorrow afternoon... GL tonite

I will join you on Rider. I did see where Manhattan could have a really good guard coming back who averaged 15 PPG last season. Do you know much about him?

Uh oh....Williams is the Jaspers best player...he is a 6'5 wing player that can score and rebound...he is a "go to scorer"....has been out all year with a knee problem....saw him on the bench last week in street clothes...but you might be right and he could play tonite.....that could be the reason the line is just -1....also forgot to mention that Ismail the Jaspers big kid is suspended tonite...he avgs 4 and 4 a nite..no big loss....still going with my big play....unless someone gets an update....even if Williams is ready to play he has to be a little rusty....Jaspers will play man/man press the entire game...and I think Rider has the pt gd that can neutralize the press and negate the 1 strength they have on defense....Manhattan interior defense is bad..and with the big 3 Rider fds the Jaspers will lose the post ....Destructor thanks for reminding me about Williams...

MANHATTAN -101 over Rider

9:00 PM EST. Getting lucky against weak competition has been the hallmark of Rider all season long, as they have played the 312th ranked schedule in terms of SOS .

Riders toughest opponent this year is who? N.C. State? They lost that one by 28 points. UMass? They lost to the Minutemen by 11. The Broncs' schedule features games against cupcakes and a couple of slightly above average teams and that is it.
They have not played a ranked team all season long. However, since defeating Monmouth on the road in overtime on New Year?s Eve, the Broncs have been playing with fury and smashing teams with a vengeance. Rider has won their two follow-up contests since while covering significantly as a favorite in both. What this does is essentially inflate the stock of the Broncs and set them up to be torpedoed by an unsuspecting foe such as the Jaspers.
Just to recap, Rider is an 11-5 MAAC team that is spotting a small price to a 6-11 conference enemy.

Manhattan might be the better team here. If not, it?s damn close and we have home court working for us.

The Jaspers have also played a much tougher schedule than the Broncs, which includes games against Temple, West Virginia and Florida State. One common out-of-conference opponent that these two both met was Fordham. The Jaspers beat the Rams, 60-53 while the Broncs lost to the Rams by 11, 73-62.
Manhattan lost to Temple, West Virginia and Florida State but they were able to hang 67 points on both the Owls and Seminoles.
In this sport, records can be very misleading, which helps our cause because records influence the market.
Rider is a team with one of the worst efficiency ratings (ranked 262nd) in the land, meaning they need more possessions to score the same amount of points than most of their opponents.

Rider/Manhattan

Looks like in absence of a full college hoops card, most everyone here at MJ as well as the public is on Rider. Ergo, I must fade...

Vigorous..do appreciate others views...MC has played tougher schedule...and both did play Fordham..but I got to see both vs Marist at Marist..Rider won 73-62 and Manhattan lost in OT 90-88....I put a lot of emphasis on pt gds and when I capp they get +2 pts...after seeing this kid Jordan play don't think he gets many turnovers...Jaspers attack full court with a wave of 4 or 5 gds attacking the ball....some teams attack the zone and try to score. Marist doesn't have the ball handlers to attack so they just reverse the ball and get it over. I think Rider will attack tonite the press....and create a 3 on 2,2 on 1,etc...Rider has a few go to scorers in Taylor,Thomas,Lundy...unless Williams comes back tonite they have to manufacturer scoring...good luck tonite...do appreciate your input....this really comes down to... I got too see both teams close up....and think one is better then the other...unfortunately that always doesn't work out or I would be on a beach in the Caymans...

Right call, but when a guy is in the zone and determined like Waterman, you are screwed. Play that game 7 times, Rider wins 6, but we picked the Waterman Memorial game. 6-9 220 pound white guy with a lot of heart. I tip my hat to him! :0003

Is the firsta time in almos decades that i watch a full game of this league, the one that you really follow and share with us.

But the thing here is a bet FH Rider because of you, I barely win that one, but watching the game I think in that league the zebras are way too biased, too but too bad, and also it looked like an inside job for me, so I just bet 2H Manhattan, the zebras were tendentious to say the less, they won this game, Manhattan even with that W kid had no chance in a regular game with good refs.

My question now is, is that always a fix in this league or kind of games o universities? because there is no doubt in my mind, it was a fix and you got the right team

Regards and keep the winners coming!
