One of the best of his era and a truly genuine individual. He spent his years after the NFL giving back to the community.

Gawd, I couldn't believe Freddie was that old. He was a good one. Sad you get so little response when one of the "good ones" passes on too early, but when a "non role model" goes we have all levels of opinions. :shrug:

Totally agree . It seems they give national coverage of people who waste their lives but few props to people who give back & Freddie truly gave back.

I was shocked of his age as well.

Great receiver and appears to have been a great guy after he played the game.
