cyrus the vyrus died Aug. 7, 1984-Dec. 16, 2007
He was a good friend of mine since we were very young 12 or so ... We spent much of our youth having unforgettable times together and he will never be forgotten , his heartbroken mother has started an organization ... a foundation to help kids in his honor ... his funeral was sad but there were close to a thousand people there and i wanted you guys to know that he really did touch alot of peoples lives. He loved madjacksports and i think you should all count your blessings cause life is short ... i love you C-money g-d bless you ...

RIP CYRUS....

seems funny a obit dont say the cause of death.

I actually feel sick now just thinking of making posts that I thought were "funny" in his thread. I guess you never know how things are absorbed. Vyrus obviously took the way people here thought of him more seriously than we perceived. It seems really stupid, but when I was 23 I might have been the same way if there were forums like this.

...It's not like any of us did this - I'm sure there are much bigger factors involved, but it still seems very disturbing and I can't help but think that the way he isolated and humiliated himself on this forum probably contribituded to whatever depression or addiction he went through.

RIP Vyrus.

I highly doubt from jedcorps description that this forum had much of a negative impact on him. He seemed to be around a lot of people.

Hate to see a kid swallowed up by that crap.

Hey Murph.....

Don't take it too hard, man. I think this kid had some pretty big issues. I'm no stranger to being around the pain-killer crowd. I've seen friends of mine get sucked in. It's easy to get into and nearly impossible to get out of, without some sort of professional help. It's unfortunate that Vyrus chose this route and I feel for him and his situation. But remember too, he came here. We didn't go out and recruit him or anything. Life is all about choices. We all make bad choices in our life. Unfortunately for him, he just made some really really bad ones.

don't be troubled, smurphy. This kids 'roid rage probably didn't help in the 'script drug area. Obviously, lots of self-destructive behavior. It's a shame he died, but it's certainly nobody's fault but his own.

LAST TIME I SAW A THREAD FROM HIM HE WAS IN A "PISSING" MATCH WITH SOME OF THE OLD-SCHOOLERS HERE. SOMETHING ABOUT HOW "HOT" HIS CHICK WAS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, BUT THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. ANYBODY HERE REMEMBER THAT THREAD, IT WENT ON AROUND 100 REPLIES OR SO?? NOT LONG AFTER THAT, HIM AND I AND OUR WOMEN WERE SUPPOSED TO HOOK UP IN SAN DIEGO/DEL MAR AREA SO THAT HE COULD SHOW ME AROUND THE TRACK.

Guess I'm not getting my $30 now.

Cyrus' trouble here started when he stiffed me for $30 in our NCAA pool a few years back. he then came up with a million excuses for not paying, all the while posting about how he was betting 100's a game and bragging that he was worth millions. Got tired of all his lies and let it go.

Hate to see anyone die that young but the young man had some issues.

That dude gave far more than he "got" in that thread, first off. His issues didn't stem from here. They didn't get complicated here. And they sure as hell didn't end here.

I was drunk and reflectory (is that word?) last night. Yeah, I was definitely overreaching regarding the impact of madjacks on poor ol' Vyrus.

That said, if Keeko turns up dead I'll feel very bad for calling him a peice of shit. ....even if he is.
